Solid strength day for the shoulders 💪🏼 Began the workout with a 5,3,1 on OHPfailed at 185, but muscled up 180 for a single, slow af rep. I want to be able to put 200lbs over my head for reps☠️ Went into an 8-6-4 on seated military press and ended here at 95 for 4. I have had my life turned upside down, and I couldn't find my way up. Now, I am Where the universe wants me. I will be moving in a couple months, and I am excited to start my new life correct. Training your chest will improve your posture and make your boobs perkier 😜 so don’t neglect them! Now everyone is different, so what may work for me might not work for you, but here are some rules to follow if you want to blow up your biceps. 1.) Focus on Strength *Muscle size is a binary of strength. Many people get lost in trying to get a great pump. Yes sarcoplasmic hypertrophy (Volume training) has its place, but it should never replace heavy lifting. 2.) Be explosive. *Even with warm up sets. This allows for optimal muscle recruitment. A natural forward movement is okay. There is no way you can lift over 100 lbs with your arms locked in place at all times. 3.) Make short term lifting goals. *When I do bicep curls I usually warm up then I do 3 sets of 10 Reps. Once I can do 3 set of 10 at a certain weight, then I will increase my weight. Each week I try to move up a certain amount of weight. I may only increase by 1-2.5 lbs. This is okay! Progress is being made. 4.) Use Fractional Plates *To add such a small increase in weight,I have to use fractional plates. My PRs have been non stop since I started using them. You should definitely get a pair. 5.) Change your grip *The bicep is made up of 2 distinct heads. Sure doing curls will make one head pop, but if you want the other to pop, you need to be hitting some wide arm curls or another alike movement. 6.) Range of Motion *Many people do curls and hit the bottom portion of their biceps really hard, but they are only getting in half the work. You want to bring that bar to your chin by the end of the movement. Change it up too. Be explosive, but also make sure you have time under tension. 7.) Use an “Arm Blaster” *No I’m not wearing a bra 😂 This arm blaster also allows you to optimize your muscle recruitment. It pretty much makes it so you can not cheat the work out. It also forces your arms in a better position for the movement. There are dozens of more tricks but I hope they help.
