Black Runner Snake I hope you can see it in this green bush. I was getting the sand off my shoes after a run on the beach. This snake raced behind me into this thick area. It really scared me. One boy there told me it was a Black Runner Snake. Being a runner I had to find out more about this snake that is a runner.🤣They say a person can never catch one when it is racing. Pretty cool. It can go 12 mph. It will bite if bothered and nonvenomous. I feel a bond to it already. Very good for controlling rodent population. Migraines 🤕🤒 - So I planned to take 2 rest days (Friday & Saturday), and ended up taking 3 due to illness. A big question I’m asked a lot is what kind of watch I wear 👉 answer = Garmin, all the way! garminfitness Another question I’m asked is, do you wear it all the time or take it off when not running to power down 👉 answer = I only take it off to shower 😂 . There’s a handful of things that I love about my watch(es) but one of the top things is being able to change the watch faces on the fly. I have a few that I love but during a training cycle I usually have it on the countdown watch face and plug in my race date so I see how many more days till I toe the line 😎 . Today I made friends with this role machine and did 2+ miles of speedwork after volunteering a cumulative 24 hours on my feet this weekend. Something must be working bedside I feel great even after all of that activity! I have the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler in less than 2 weeks and I’m so excited for a flat 10 miler. Oh hello Monday! Another fabulously sunny Spring day here meant more yoga on the deck. Here is my post-run splits attempt! In my case, this pose is usually reserved for very loosened up hamstrings and hip flexors - so definitely not my regular go-to pose after a run! 😆 But, it felt good to do today, even if I didn't go as far into it as sometimes. (Streak Run Tag 94) Irgendwie war mir heute trotz Muskelkater, den ich sogar in den Füßen verspüre, nach Gas geben um mal was für die Tempohärte zu tun. Gedacht hatte ich so an 5-7,5km. Ich war aber so gut drauf, da habe ich mich dann kurzfristig für 10km entschieden und selbst das habe ich gut bewältigen können. Heißt dann fürs nächste mal, wenn ich wieder Gas geben will, entweder noch schneller zu laufen oder noch weiter. Der Puls gibt es ja zumindest her.😊💪 Übrigens, noch 6 Tage bis zum Venloop.😜 Dort werde ich aber definitiv keine Bestzeit erzielen wollen, da ich an dem Tag den Spaß beim Laufen in den Vordergrund stellen werde.
