90% bench for reps! Starting to get this benching thang right 😉 Bench is so technically challenging and getting the right set up has made the biggest difference👍💯 . Heavy bench: 90 lbs 3x3 Warm-up: 85 lbs x3 . S.I.X Weeks Out & starting to get all the feels! I’m becoming more vascular, my clothes are too big, and posing any chance I can get! Energy level is still pretty good! I’m carb cycling with around 1,600 calories on high days and 1,200 calories on low days. Eating a lot of good food like chicken, fruit, yogurt, brown rice, veggies, fish and much more. So a great start to the week. Its coming fast now. 5more days! Now the first pic for mondaymotivation is very true to both the gym and life in general. Connect and get people in your life that will only lift you higher. Be it freinds, family, work colleagues, gym bros, insta connection,m whatever. Im very lucky that ive got a lot of people that hold me down and dont hold me back. To all of them im truly grateful. Now the next 3 days are for deloads as you may of noticed in my story i kinda duffed it up straight away 🤣🤣🤣, it was meant to be a 150kg squat I , like a prat did a 165kg squat ( shown ) thing is the 165kg was meant to be for the deadlift 🤦‍♀️ it wouldn't of been that bad if it wasnt for the fact i had only just written the numbers down 10mins prior. Still tomorrow and Wednesday will be SBD deloads and ill make sure to do the right numbers tomorrow. Plenty of hot cold to the trap. Plenty of rest on Thursday and Friday. more then anything with my first comp im just excited to feel the atmosphere , feel the adrenaline and get to know and see some amazing lifters. But also its going to be great to be able to compete side by side by my PT/Mentor and now my freind ( que the sick bucket) haha! mattsmith_vanillag took me under his wingI paid him of course haha! But taught me so much with regards to my lifting. Only regret is i wish i would of started earlier. Still thats why im getting the next generation ready with my son :) . I was! Grow⁣⁣ - ⁣⁣ Trying to grow these stubborn forearms this bulk. Just because a muscle isn’t growing doesn’t mean you have bad genetics, it could be your training method. Here’s a couple of tips to grow those stubborn muscle groups:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ - Train the muscle group early on in your training routine. If you just stick forearms/calves as the last workouts of the day, you’ll have a lot less strength and energy to affectivly train them. Instead, train them as your 3rd or 4th exercise. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ - Increase the amount of sets per workout. At the end of the day, it’s all about weekly volume. You need to be increasing the weekly volume to increase strength and size. Just don’t over train. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Stay Focused, It’s Almost Summer Time ☀️💪🏼

“There is victory in virtuosity. There is salvation in suffering” ~ Me What is your why? You will see and hear that banded around social media, often by influencers and success coaches. Why do you get out of bed? Why do you want that money? Why do you want your own business? Why do you workout? Why is the greatest question you can ask, because if you ask it for long enough, in succession about a particular thing then you WILL reach the root. One why is not enough. Ever. Keep asking yourself why until the ROOT of your actions becomes clear. Only then will you be able to give all you have in it’s pursuit. I’m a simple man. You didn’t ask but here are my whys. The ones that have driven me to the best of myself. The best single action I have performed (virtuosity) and the best long term performance over time (suffering) One of the most influential people in my life once told me that, regarding the matters of physicality, I should feel privileged to have been born in a fully working body and mind. In doing so I should commit, that any action I undertake, I should do so with full effort and to “leave it all out in the floor” for there are people not as lucky as I to have been born with the GIFT of an unimpaired body and mind. Also, one that would end up close to my heart during my military career, that some unfortunate souls would have their critical faculties removed from them. Anyone in either of those unfortunate positions would give all their effort, mental and physical, past the state of pure exhaustion, if they could just be as able bodied as I amso I should do the same. Each step further, each extra second of suffering and virtuously in the moment is for those that can’t, and simply because I can. That’s what drives me. It is mine. It is me. You can not use my why to drive you. You need your own, so before the next time you lace up your metcons, or strap on your camelbak before a gruelling trail run. Find out WHY you’re about to what you’re about to doand I promise you’ll do it better. Let’s get work. Recovery run with my HR back in the 140’s, just the way I like it. I slept over 9 hours yesterday (finally🙌🏼) so I’m feeling way better than I have been for weeks now.
