A little about our commitment to sustainability I’m always a little hesitant to share our sustainability story as I don’t want to sound preachy or be like oh look at us, we are so woken when it comes to sustainability! We are not, we have done loads but certainly have a lot more to do! But, we are taking small steps each month, that over time will led to big change.
Sustainability in business shouldn’t be about making a customer feel bad or lecturing people on how they choose to purchase, it should be about empowering the customer with knowledge, it should be about developing business models that favour the 2 critical elements to what I believe, are the building blocks of a success sustainable business, human capital and natural capital.
That is why we choose to work with Irish businesses, we believe that supporting local business is a sure way to build a smart, successful and sustainable domestic economy, while creating meaningful connections with our customers & our makers.
We choose to use 100% renewable energy in store to become more carbon efficient.
We choose sustainable packaging options and more that half our crafters have changed packaging to compostable options over the last few months and this month we have introduced our fully compostable gift wrap, make from recycled paper and using soya based inks which can go directly into your compost bin ❤️ Our ribbon can be reused for any crafty projects and we seasonally garnish all gifts with whatever beautiful flowers Mother Nature has to offer, all of which we dry and scent ourselves so they can be used as potpourri if you so wish! littlestepsbigchange
