Hey, guys. I remember watching a film as a kid called "First Blood", and it was so really damn good. "Vietnam veteran and drifter John J. Rambo wanders into a small Washington town in search of an old friend, but is met with intolerance and brutality by the local sheriff, Will Teasle. When Teasle and his deputies restrain and shave Rambo, he flashes back to his time as a prisoner of war and unleashes his fury on the officers. He narrowly escapes the manhunt, but it will take his former commander, Col. Samuel Trautman to save the hunters from the hunted." I never knew that this movie was based on a book novel by David Morrel in 1972, and I haven't read it that much. But in this movie, John Rambo was a Green Beret who lost some of his friends in Vietnam for years, and he's on the move spread around at night, avoiding the patrols in Hope, Washington. It the end, Col. Trautman showed up and told Rambo, "It's over!", and he says "Nothing is over! Nothing!" Rambo had a nervous breakdown about losing all of his friends and no going back. I got to say that Sylvester Stallone's performance was so emotional, having crying with tears in a wonderful speech. There were two things I like and didn't like in different endings: The first one I like was the original ending where Rambo had to surrender to the police. The second one I didn't like was the alternate ending where he has to die by using a gun and shot himself.
Though, there were mixed reviews by critics about the plot and level of violence, including the alternate ending and I agree, they thought it was weak and it doesn't work of Rambo has to kill himself. Just stick to the original ending from now on. Anyway, I thought it was a sensational movie. A marginal humbs up for me to "First Blood". First Blood 3.5/4 👍👍 To officialslystallone, and mrchrismulkey, thank you.
