guys, i want to be completely vulnerable with you. last year, i started to feel really sluggish and not like myself. i quickly realized my health wasn’t where i wanted it to be and i was starting to feel the effects of that. i started trying to eat better, exercise more, etc., but honestly, i didn’t know what i was doing or how to make it sustainable. speed forward to this year, i went to profile by Sanford and did a full body scan. this body scan was incredibly in-depth and i was able to sit down with one of their coaches to have them explain to me what everything on the results meant. let me just say that it totally changed the way i see my body and my health. im sharing this with you guys because i am excited to see where this will take me. i am not a dietician, fitness coach, personal trainer, or anything in between, and because of that i often felt overwhelmed when trying to tackle my health on my own. that’s why we have people like Sanford, to guide us along the way. even if you can’t join their program, i still recommend trying out their body scan so you can better understand your body each day and what it needs to be healthier. if you’ve read this far, thank you and I love you i will post progress pics as i go along to help me stay accountable. have a great day ✨✨ lfthx profileproud profile_utah profilebysanford fitnessmotivation

****I suggest reading this!***** Do stretches count as a workout? 🤔 It’s something I’ve really had to ponder on this week and last. For those of you that do not know I have really had to think outside of my box and discover what “healthy living” actually means. I have been focusing on my diet with Profile by Sanford this month trying to discover how my body is utilizing my nutrition. (I highly suggest it! I’ve already learned so much about myself.) 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 So far I have learned that 1) I over train (yes it actually is possible) 2) I don’t digest my food very well due to PH imbalance and 3) I need to get back to the basics of what the point of a healthy lifestyle is and what that actually means. So I want to ask you- what does working out actually mean to you and WHY are you actually doing it? Is running at full speed, long distance and lifting insane weight the only way to see progress and feel healthy??? • I am coming to this conclusion myself: I love being active! My WHY is this- I want to live the FULL life that God designed for us to enjoy. I want to be out in his creation for a long time with family and friends. It is my way of taking advantage of what he has given me and thanking him for it 🙌🏼 • Personally I think we go through life stuck in the cycle of obligations and it steals our joy. I go to work (because I have to), I go to the gym (because I need to), I choose a salad over a bacon cheese burger (because I’m supposed to) BUT I haven’t taken time to slow down and put all of those things into perspective of my why. I remember the very moment I decided to make a change in my life and get healthier. I was in my boyfriends lap crying because I was so miserable with myself. I vowed to myself to not quit or give up on me this time around. I thought you can give yourself one year, what do you have to lose? I am coming up on my one year anniversary with profilebysanford and have accomplished so much. I’ve lost 74 pounds, and I’m very close to my goal weight. I consistently workout and feel stronger, healthier, and happier. Someone on the Profile by Sanford FB page posted this recipe and I just tweaked it with the veggies I like. I used this week’s chopped veggies up to make this chili recipe. 1 Profile Creamy Tomato Soup packet, 1 Profile Vegetarian Chili packet, 2 Profile Sloppy Joe packets, 2 boxes low sodium beef broth, and veggies. I used red onion, garlic, mushrooms, zucchini, all colors of peppers, 1 fresh jalapeño, half bunch chopped fresh cilantro. I just eye-balled the seasonings: a little salt, chili power, cumin, & taco seasoning. I’m cooking it on low in the slow cooker overnight. Diets don’t have to be terrible unless YOU choose to make them that way. - I had dinner with family tonight outside on the patio. 2oz Steak, salad, and 1/2C green beans. All approved on my Profile Plan and all allowing me to progress towards my goal. 🙌🏼 - So far I have learned that eating more veggies fills me up and keeps my calories at bay! I have almost tripled my daily vegetable intake and I can feel the difference it makes in my energy and mood. - Don’t just take everyone’s input on what to eat and how to workout. 🗣Real Talk: Today I want to chat a little about defining moments. One thing I have learned through my journey is that you truly have to be ready to change your life to be successful in weight loss. No one can convince you. The moment I knew that I needed to change my life was when I realized the heel pain I had was a result of my weight and that it could become permanent if I didn’t do anything about it. This heel pain sucked and would prevent me from walking large distances. Today I walked 4 miles like it was absolutely nothing. That may not seem like an accomplishment but I had no heel pain at all and I had to take a moment to reflect on that. I haven’t had heel pain for about 9 months now and most days I forget that it was ever there. 😃I picked these up off amazon earlier this week and I’m SO EXCITED. This is going to be how I track my binge free days! One link for each day I am binge free. I think it will be so helpful to keep this chain in my purse as a tangible reminder of my goals for when I am about to binge. ▪️▪️▪️ The last week has been a little strange. Normally after a binge I feel satisfied for a decent amount of time, but since I interrupted/stopped my last binge I have really been wanting to complete it still. The binge happened Monday and I still feel like this! At the same time, all week I have been less strict. I had a coffee from Caribou (previously an absolute no go because I wasn’t the one measuring the ingredients), I let myself have rice cakes with my night shake, and I let myself have a piece of candy given to me by a coworker today. All such small things, but I can absolutely feel the difference it is making mentally. 🗣Real Talk: I used to avoid tight clothing and long sleeve shirts like the plague. Nowadays I wear a long sleeve shirt 90% of the time (partially because I am always cold now, one thing I didn’t expect before losing weight). I am also becoming more comfortable with form fitting clothes. This shirt is actually a small from Target. I thought I grabbed a medium and realized my mistake when I got home.
