I use to lift weight every morning before school when I was in HS to train for sports. I remember being SO strong! Then I went off to college and I was always too intimidated to lift at the gym because the weight area was always flooded with guys and I felt so out of place. Because of that, I didn’t lift weights for years. This program I’m doing now has re-lit the fire within me for weight lifting. I feel BAD.ASS. when I’m done And I do it from home, so who the heck cares what I look like 😜💪🏽

pull-ups have been my nemesis since elementary school P.E. when we had to do that damn “President’s Challenge.”⁣ ⁣ thanks mom 🙄 (she was my P.E. teacher)⁣ jlvm_dncxprs . but on the real, i always have excelled at push movements, core endurance & dynamic movements — but a little while ago, i came to terms with the fact i may never achieve a strict pull-up.⁣ ⁣ when i did crossfit, i could string together kipping/butterfly pull-ups/chest-to-bars because i had the coordination to use my hips & momentum (I AM A BAD EXAMPLE. DO NOT DO THIS. listen to your coaches. you should be able to do multiple strict in a row before learning to kip.) still, i always had to use a band for strict pull-ups.⁣ ⁣ well GUESS WHAT! yesterday, i was resting between sets & i saw the pull-up bar & thought “hmmmmaybe i should just try one.” so i did.⁣ ⁣ after not having attempted a pull-up since December (& failing miserably) I DID MY FIRST EVER STRICT PULL UP.⁣ ⁣ i’ve been hesitant to post this because i train people on how to do pull-ups & the progressions for them — but i am just now able to do one myself. but you know what?! It’s officially an even 12 weeks until I get married in Vegas! Aka 3 months. Aka I need to get my shit together. 😬 I don’t know why, but I just have not had the motivation to make changes lately. So I haven’t posted about my weight loss journey for awhile and here’s why. I’ve felt lost the last couple months. And then my cousin passed away very unexpectedly. His death really affected me. He was really the first death of a close relative that I have been old enough to process. It was a freak accident and we had no time to prepare for it. He was so full of life and was such a kind soul. I didn’t work out for a few weeks after and my eating was out of wack. They always say life is so short but this really hit me. But recently I’ve started to get back on track. Because Jason would want me and everyone else to keep living. To enjoy life and all it has to offer us. I want to live like he did. I don't know why but I seem to struggle with the last week or two of a program. I did so good and fully enjoyed and looked forward to my workouts the first six weeks then lose all desire to workout the last two weeks. I used to hate this picture. I thought I looked awkward and I was doing that ugly “half” smile thing. But now I look at it and think how ultimately happy I was at this moment. I see joy and ease. And yes, maybe a little awkward but that’s ME! Being intentional is a new one on my list. I was listening to one of my fave podcasts this morning from jennakutcher and her guest talked about enjoying and taking in all moments of life. Being appreciative of how amazing it is to do what we do. And she’s right! - No, I’m not always nice to myself. But I’m able and smart. - No, every day life at an 8-5 job isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. But at the end of the day, it. is. amazing how a small gesture can change someone else’s day, and ultimately your own. The list can go on forever. Being INTENTIONAL everyday has helped make my days lighter and find the silver lining in a lot of things. What’s life if you can’t enjoy how you’re living it?!

I get it, you might be thinking “you say you aren’t on a diet, yet you “measure” out food groups?!” BUUUUTT hear me out. I personally STRUGGLE with food. It’s something that’s ALWAYS on my mind, so when I found out that I could still enjoy delicious tasting meals, go out to eat ANNND lose weight I was all for it! - Turns out I use these containers pretty regularly because it helps me visualize how much of each food group I really need! Sure, I’m not perfect with them 24/7 BUUT that’s life! One day I might enjoy chips + cookies and the next day I might pass on them. Going out to eat also doesn’t mean I’m perfect, I’ll enjoy the rolls sometimes & avoid them other times. But what this has taught me is knooowwing what portions looks like AND being knowledgeable about it. - I now understand that I can skip the seasoned fries + bun (peep Adam back there), but still enjoy a delicious meal. I understand that having a poor nutritional meal on Sunday doesn’t mean it needs to follow into the week. And most importantly I understand that food isn’t there for every emotion, it’s there to fuel you (I said I’m aware, I never said I don’t still struggle at times).😜

I’ve been a little MIA recently and it’s because I let my crazy schedule run my life instead of running my crazy schedule! So excited to get back to focusing on helping others with a 21 day challenge group focused on making healthy choices each day and living a life of balance to avoid the ups and downs of yo-yo dieting and fitness I’ll be starting Transform 20 again which is 20 minute workouts 6 days a week but you can do any physical activities you choose! The plan is to learn to incorporate it into daily life and for it to just be a part of your day instead of feeling like another thing to check off of your to do list I have 5 spots left, who is ready to Spring into Action and get your body moving?!

No work for me today = sleep in, clean the house, hit the gym and spend some time relaxing. My back is SO SORE from pad class yesterday, I woke up this morning feeling like I was hit by a truck, which quickly transferred into a feeling of accomplishment. It's been a while since I've been this sore 😂 . Update on me!: So, a week ago I picked up my wedding dress! When I ordered it, I ordered down a size and I knew that when I picked it up, it most likely was not going to fit, considering I still have a year before I'm going to wear it. Sure enough, I tried it on and it didn't fit. That's OK though cause I am going to keep working my butt off and I WILL fit into my dress, I'm hoping I may need to alter it even smaller but that is ambitious of me 😂 so we will see. I guess I've been sweatingforthewedding since August, but now I've got to amp it up a bit. 👰

Hello 😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, it’s no secret that I’ve been MIA, so lemme explain what happened. SO, I’ll start by being completely honest. The last time I was at the gym was Saturday February 23 😅 (which is actually longer than I thought) I went to the 8 am gym class and in the afternoon I went out dress shopping with my bridesmaids. Later we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. When I woke up on Sunday morning I had body aches, a fever and a nasty cough. This sickness lasted A WEEK. I couldn’t breathe, I had an on and off fever and felt so week. By Saturday (March 2) I was feeling a bit better and attended an engagement party Saturday night. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I woke up Sunday feeling ok, not great but not terrible. Around like 11 am though I started getting violently ill. This lasted another 2 days, and during this time I was so malnourished my weight got down to its lowest in 3 years at 180.0. By the time I started feeling like myself again I had already almost had two weeks away from the gym and was feeling incredibly lazy and had 100% fallen off the wagon. I was disappointed in myself but kept telling myself I was too “busy” to go back. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yesterday though I said enough is enough. I have to get back at it because I’m getting married in 214 days. My bachelorette party is in 144 days. My bridal shower is coming up and now my weight is back up to 188.8 as of this morning. I’m probably not going to hit my goal weight of 150 by June 1st at this point 😔 and it’s nobody’s fault but my own. SO I meal prepped all my meals this week and I’m headed to the gym after work. I will update my weight calendar too in a new post. I’m happy to be back🔮

Let’s be honest, every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day. There’s no shame in that! But I think it’s important to remind everyone that you DON’T need to be punishing yourself at the gym for hours or going on any crazy diets (that could potentially ruin your metabolism) Exercising should be fun, and something you look forward to!💦 So find something you love to do that you’ll look forward to and it won’t be a chore. Planning a wedding can sometimes be stressful, and a 30-60 minute workout can be a great stress reliever!🤸‍♀️🧘‍♀️ I used to love going for jogs the spring before my wedding.🏃‍♀️ It was so beautiful, I would listen to my favorite music, and daydream of my wedding day.😍 It’s even more fun if you get your fiancé involved tooNot to mention great for bonding! Tinker Falls has beautiful hiking trails with a breathtaking view at the top of the mountain, bring some wine and cheese and make it a date!😘 The key is to be consistent and just be healthy. Cut out unnecessary sugar from your diet, and eat whole foods that make you feel good. Have you ever found yourself saying “I don’t have time to workout!” - I feel ya. It can be difficult/nearly impossible to fit everything in! I work two jobs, have creative pursuits/side hustles, like to get 8 hours of sleep, keep the house clean, and still enjoy an active social life or some downtime to chill on the couch. I don’t even have and I struggle to do it all, plus workout (idk how mamas do it!). It’s definitely a balancing act and some weeks I do better than others - last week was a total bust on getting to the gym + eating healthy. But it’s a new week and I’m determined to get 5 workouts in! I still think being on this boat is the weirdest feeling ever 🤣🚢 - WE’RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKING OCEAN 🌊 - The wind almost blows me over on the top deck haha. What a beautiful sight though! 💙😊 - So thankful Tyler was able to come [although he burnt my leg 🙄] and I get to spoil him on the cruise I earned! How cool to be able to have this opportunity! I let him pick the excursions so this week we’ll be going on jet skis & doing a turtle and reef snorkel tour! 🐠 - These are trips we wouldn’t be able to afford right now with him being back in school and a wedding coming up, so we are so grateful for this amazing company and some well deserved relaxation for the both of us! 💙🚢 want to come & bring your spouse next year with us?! 👋🏽
