REST DAYS Do you schedule them in? Do you grind grind grind until ya die and are forced to take one before your body falls apart? I LOVE training, it’s my life. But sometimes it feels like absolute ASS and everything hurts and I feel about as strong as 3 year old It’s not that I’m not dedicated - I still get my butt to the gym, I try and lift like a boss but My strength is down. My energy is down. When I feel like this my priority is rest & an epic stroll up a hill, get outside and be kind to my body (I use to just grind but not these days) If you feel run down, sore, tired, weak, and you’re trying to grind through your workouts, you are doing your body a disservice. It’s okay to take an extra rest day, go lighter, or just take a few days to focus on whatever else you have going on! You won't get fat or undo all your hard work. After all this should be a lifestyle right!? So many people are scared to rest for fear of losing progress, but if you actually give body and mind a rest when needed, you’ll be back to smashing it in no time💯 Listen to your body - if it’s telling you to take a break, take it! Proud to say that I KILLED my first official day of my 5 perfect days. I got in all my water, got 10k steps, did 103 flights on the stair master, and got a blue dot! The past few days have been very REAL It all began on Thursday where the threat of an active shooter at my place of employment was very real but thankfully a hoax that’s still being investigated. I appreciate all that reached out to make sure all was good Later Thursday/Friday AM, I was delayed HOURS and spent a lot of time in the ATL airport which really got to me. The last place I wanted to be was around big crowds of people after being in hiding for hours in a VERY small room with co-workers in silence and in the dark BUT it was all worth it when I got to hug, squeeze, feed and change the stinky diapers of my sweet twin nephews ❤️❤️ . So my friends remember to be brave, be kind, and always kiss your loved ones 💋

I’ve been talking with a number of women lately who are tired of playing the start and stop game. I know that game ALL TO WELL. Progress ✅✅✅! Love it - one of my favorite things to do is post these before and after pictures of my clients. Regan an has been coming to GoalsFit for six weeks now. We meet twice a week for personal training sessions - and I give her 2-3 online running workouts per week. We literally started with 1 min run , 1 min walk and now she is up to 4.2 miles. During our personal training sessions we focus on Strength, core and high intensity exercises. I try to beat her up at much as possible 🙂 during our personal training workouts so that the running workouts will seem like a walk in the park. In 4 months she will do her first half marathon and in 8 months she will be walking up the aisle when she marries her fiancé Kevin! Keep it up girl - ! Recently, my sleep pattern has been whack from staying up late and making lists in my head of all the things I need to do in the next couple of weeks. But no matter what, I always make time for a workout in the am, EVEN if it’s a 20 minute workout As we are ONE week away from the release of the new program I am about to start, I am trying to begin new habits of waking up earlier and taking time for myself. (Which is a challenge since I am NOT a morning person!) . My best friend taught me something important: it’s all about the grind “The grind is to thrive under all conditions. You might just see the changes on the outside, but what I really hope you take from this is everything I’ve gained in the last two years.⁣ ⁣ I took me a year to find myself again and start loving who I am from the inside out. And another year to realize that I could LIVE my life and still continue to get results, in whatever form they may have come. But I know that without my girl gang I couldn’t be where I am today.⁣ ⁣ I’m healthier in what I choose to put in my body and more active after completing several of the programs in my online workout library, but I’m truly happier and that’s what matters most!⁣ And I’ve found CONSISTENCY, the thing I thought was a mystical unicorn powder only “lucky” girls got. I remember praying so hard for God to help me find my way again after I lost sight of my goals. You know what the best part about my workout programs are? They’ve shown me that it’s not about a single workout. It’s not about pressing play that 1 time or eating 1 healthy meal. They’ve shown me that it’s about changing your attitudes, and changing your mindset. They’ve shown me that being healthy is about living your true healthy life every single day, and loving the treat meals and drinks every now and then. They’ve shown me that I do have time and I do have the motivation and I can move my body every single day if I put my mind to it. So, yesterday Ian and I delivered about 50 of our wedding invites via biking around his home town and hand delivering them! We rode over 5 miles and he was able to tell me a story about every house he grew up going to and the neighborhoods that he loves.
