For transformationtuesday, I wanted to share that I won first place for most % of body fat lost (female) in my studio's 8-week Orangetheory Transformation Challenge. Because I've been on this fitness journey for two years, I was very doubtful I'd win anything at all. Most studios only give prizes for the most weight lost, so it was a pleasant surprise that our studio was going to reward people who lost fat and gained muscle. I established a strategy, followed it, and at the end of 8 weeks, I lost 2 inches around my waist, lost 7lbs, and lost a lot of body fat. They say if you want to change your life, change your priorities. I changed my priorities, and it probably saved my life. I'm grateful for my fam, friends, fitfam, and everyone who helps me meet my goals everyday, IRL or online. In this game whether the road goes up or down, left or right you have to keep pushing forward. I’ve felt fairly good this week, energy is decent, strength feels good, my mind strong. Then I watched this video. For a fatman the profile seated shot is the place you can’t hide. When standing your largess looks more evenly distributed, so you look less fat. When seated, your legs prevent your FUPA from just hanging, in fact it’s more like your gut is placed on a platform to highlight the rotundness. Watch careful when I’m standing I look leanerthen I sit in the position for a row and it’s clear my gut is the size of a little person. It’s so large that it causes me to lean backwards in order to pull the weight. I can’t sit comfortably at a 90 degree angle. It just makes me go, what the f$&k? • • This realization didn’t cause any panic or anger, just a deep understanding that it’s still very early in the game. In the arc of my weight loss even though it feels like I’ve played a full game I’m barely in the first quarter. Point to all this rambling, keep moving, keep progressing, and check yourself regularly to stay in track. Today was a wake up call. baked salmon with a winter kale salad. these easy weeknight dinners are my jam!💃 . 🐟baked salmon: drizzle on evoo + lemon juice, spiceology greek rub. bake on parchment paper at 400 degrees for 12-20ish min. depending on thickness 🌿winter kale salad: chop up kale and remove the ribs. "massage" with dressing of choice (mine is evoo + red wine vinegar, shallot, garlic, cinnamon, dijon mustard). i also love just evoo + lemon juice. let stand and marinate for 5 min, then add remaining ingredients - apple, goat cheese and walnuts this is so 👏 damn 👏 easy. cheers to tuesday!

Loving my small waist transformation 😄🎉 These past few months I’ve definitely been taking it easy on working out. Still eating healthy, but not working out as often.
