To have goals as well as responsibilities - and dedicated time for both. ▫️ And throwing out expectations of what you think someone else thinks you should do - or even what YOU think you should do. Don’t expect. WORK. GIVE into your own cup and fill other’s when you can (and want to). ▫️ Don’t try and find the elusive “balance” and just start living. Some of this is DEFINITELY fat but far from all of it. In my opinion if you’re going to try to grow, then go all in. If you’re going to try to lean down, then go all in! There’s nothing more frustrating than working with someone who says “I want X” and “X” comes with some unwanted side effects that are par for the course. When those side effects start to “show” after a week or two (a little leaner in places you don’t want or a little thicker in places you don’t want) then they jump ship! If you’re this person, STOP DOING THIS. This is the first time in my life I stopped “caring” about my abs showing and lifted heavy with a proper strength program while being in a TRUE caloric surplus and the results were drum roll please I put on some good dense muscle! What I’m trying to get at here with all this rambling is if you have a goal, stick to it! Don’t let yourself change lanes just because it’s getting hard or the mountain is harder to climb than you thought. Alright, enough of that.
