Spring or Winter, Spring or Winter…it's like a boxing match here in Wisconsin. Or maybe it's tennis? HA. Built the cutest little snowman a couple days ago and his poor little remains are scatter on the bed of snow. I am convinced that he'd still be alive without the hot 55 we had yesterday…and just like that, mothernature is keeping us on our toes and spitting a tad of white stuff at her leisure this a.m.
The hint of sun and Vitamin D recently propelled me in to some bright, think spring, vignettes a few weeks back. (Check out my post with the antique sunflower doorstop, chalkware bunnies and AMAZING/super rabbit candy holder.) Had to rethink it. Decided I wasn't quite ready for the bright, and changed this little space to keep some whimsy and mute it down, cuz winterwhite is where it's at currently. The winter white tulips were on sale at my local pickandsavesupermarket, so I couldn't resist putting them in this mccoypottery yum yum! My love for McCoy pottery runs deep and is a family weakness…ok, it's probably a sickness along with a treasure trove of Jadite. The corbels have come out to play after being packed away for too long and the wreaths…I'm making wreath-layering "a thing"…get a little green wreath and save a little green joann_stores with their coupons galore. Please someone yell, "Alice," until I can find my way out of that rabbit hole the next time I'm there. It's the most amazing rabbit hole though, am I right?
I see so many lovely photos on IG and all are in beautiful natural daylight…given my schedule, who else doesn't cross a leg until the sun goes down on most days? So this picture reflects a little heartfelt warmth and glow of a relaxing evening. Don't put away the lights after the Christmas season, love them all year 'round. Whether you are partying your little heart out tonight or enjoying a quiet night athome with loved ones, I hope your activities fill your abodeandsoul with cozy and peace. tgif homesweethome
