Hello again, this is nathaniel_child with the last image of my Universe Today takeover! I'd like to thank Fraser Cain for the opportunity to share my work with the Universe Today community.⁣ ⁣ This last image is a self portrait I took last summer. I was experimenting with zoomed in perspectives of the galactic core, and thought that it would add a good sense of scale if I went and stood in the frame. The Rosette Nebula is in the Milky Way Galaxy, just like our Earth. It's in the constellation Monoceros, which means 'the unicorn.' . The Rosette Nebula is shaped like a rose or a flower, which is where it gets its name. It's a special type of nebula, called an emission nebula. ''Emissions'' are anything that are given off by something; for example, a car gives off emissions when it burns gasoline, and trees give off oxygen. The Rosette Nebula is called an emission nebula because it gives off different colors of light. The new stars inside the cloud are very hot, which causes the gases inside the nebula to give off, or emit, light. This makes emission nebulae glow with many colors. Some people call the Rosette Nebula the ''Skull'' because they think its shape looks more like a skull than a rose. Look at the pictures of the Rosette Nebula in this lesson. The blue colors indicate a clear atmosphere down to the main cloud layer. Most of the northern hemisphere that is visible above the rings is relatively clear. The dark region around the south pole indicates a big hole in the main cloud layer. The green and yellow colors indicate a haze above the main cloud layer. The red and orange colors indicate clouds reaching up high into the atmosphere. The rings, made up of chunks of ice, are as white as images taken in visible light. Two of Saturn's moons were captured: Dione in the lower left and Tethys in the upper right. Tethys is just ending its transit across the disk of Saturn. While imaging the cluster of galaxies Abell 370, astronomers noticed an unusual arc. The arc wasn't understood right away not until better images showed that the arc was a previously unseen type ofastrophysical artifact of a gravitational lens, where the lens was the center of an entire cluster of galaxies. Today, we know that this arc, the brightest arc in the cluster, actually consists of two distorted images of a fairly normal galaxy that happens to lie far in the distance. Abell 370's gravity caused the background galaxies' light and others to spread out and come to the observer along multiple paths, not unlike a distant light appears through the stem of a wine glass. Almost all of the yellow images featured here are galaxies in the Abell 370 cluster. An astute eye can pick up many strange arcs anddistorted arclets, however, that are actually gravitationally lensed images of distant normal galaxies. Adrift 1,500 light-years away in one of the night sky's most recognizableconstellations, they appear in opposite corners of the above stunning two-panel mosaic. The familiar Horsehead nebula appears as a dark cloud on the lower left, a small silhouettenotched against the glow of hydrogen (alpha) gas, here tinted orange. Alnitak is the easternmost star in Orion's belt and can be found to the left of the Horsehead. Below Alnitak is the Flame Nebula, with clouds of bright emission and dramatic dark dust lanes. When you look into the night sky, you are looking back in time The stars we see in the night sky are very far away from us, so far the star light we see has taken a long time to travel across space to reach our eyes. This means whenever we look out into the night and gaze at stars we are actually experiencing how they looked in the past. For example, the bright star Vega is relatively close to us at 25 light-years away, so the light we see left the star 25 years ago; while Betelgeuse (pictured) in the constellation of Orion is 640 light-years away, so the light left the star around 1370, during the time of the Hundred Years’ War between England and France. 19 сентября 2015 - Curiosity нашел "тропинку" Марсоход осмотрел интересную структуру на поверхности Марса. Можно заметить, что мелкие камешки отсутствуют на зигзагообразной линии, снятой тремя кадрами мачтовой камеры. Скорее всего это трещина в грунте, которую полностью засыпал местный тонкий песок. Возможно эта трещина может свидетельствовать, что в этом месте происходили небольшие подвижки грунта в то время, когда оно было пустынным и каменистым как сейчас. Let me put this philosophy into simpler words; The whole of the Universe is energy and each basic element of the known atomic chart consists of energy at different rates of vibration. The difference between any two elements is the difference in both atomic structure and vibration rates. There is a frequency or vibration of energy that fills the Universe. This energy is not only beneficial, but also essential to all living cells whether human, plant or animal. Man utilises this energy with his mind. Every thought is transmitted by this energy.
