God has never went against His word. Consistently, He proves we can trust Him.
If He said it, that settles it. There’s no reason to continue to put Jesus on trial because He delivers on His word over and over again. What we should be asking is: “Can God trust us?”
Rain had never fallen before, but God tells Noah a deadly flood will happen, and the only way to survive is by building an arc. After 100 years, the arc is complete and the rain is about to fall. Noah must now gather his family, place a pair of all species: male and female, so God can deliver on His word. My assumption is that a spectacle was made of Noah as he labored for years and not a drop of rain fell. I can imagine his neighbors mocking him, “Where is your God?”
In Genesis 6 we read, “Noah was different. GOD liked what he saw in him. He was a good man, a man of integrity. He obeyed God.” We learn later in Genesis that Noah was an alcoholic. Noah wasn't perfect, but he was faithful. And because of this God trusted Him
Are you faithful? Does anyone count on you because they know you’ll deliver? Are you easily influenced by the crowd or does your integrity lead you? How patient are you when things aren’t going your way? Can you be trusted?
