Two months ago, I said farewell to beautiful NYC and see you later to an amazing work family. Two months ago, people would ask me what's next, and the only answer I had was "licensure and yoga teachers training" but no clue where I was going after that. I remember one of my colleagues calling me a "bird" and in that moment I thought to myself the sky's the limit. With that came a sense of freedom that I never experience before. Nothing to tie me down and an open highway of choices. But as someone who always had a plan, now I was stepping on unfamiliar territory and that felt really weird. Somehow, in the uncertainty of it all, I felt peace and that's how I knew I was on the right path. This month, I adjusted my wings and I'm ready to touch new grounds as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at a private practice in NYC and a Registered Yoga Teacher at a cozy new studio in NJ.
Why I'm telling you all this? Well, it's because I want to encourage you to keep dreaming, to keep envisioning what you want your life to look like, to motivate you to push past your comfort zone, to tell you that with faith, trust and work everything and anything is possible. To tell you to stop waiting for tomorrow or when you're ready, because we're never really ready. To stand by and believe in your goals especially when you want to give up because that's when the breakthrough happens.
Always remember, you're free to make your own choices; you have the right to say HELL YES to what feeds your soul and NO, THANK YOU, to what doesn't. Be selfish with your time and dare to step on unfamiliar land. Trust me, it's worth it. 🧡
