ketokalamazoo gets it! We need this in our life!
For this week’s ketocollabs teatime treat, I created a chilled rose cardamom milk tea. I infused this delicately spiced sweet tea with a base of Ceylon, and added cardamom pods, dried pink rose petals, and dried stevia leaf. If you love chai tea as much as I do, you will be ROMANCED by this stunning concoction! I get my tea supplies teaspicekzoo (Tudor House Tea and Spice). The integrity of this shop is AMAZING! Did you know because tea leaves are picked and immediately dried -the first “wash” they have is with your tea water? Know where your tea comes from! And, I have to say, I had NO idea I could add dried stevia to my loose leaf teas until I discovered it in this shop.
8oz boiling water
1tsp Ceylon tea
1tsp dried pink rose petals
1/4tsp dried stevia leaf
20 cardamom pods
1/2oz HWC (heavy whipping cream)

Steep all ingredients EXCEPT cream for 5 minutes and strain (or remove infuser -I like to use tea balls). Chill tea and add cream before serving. If you’re entertaining a large crowd, the recipe can easily be multiplied and made ahead of time. I chilled my tea, but if you choose to do an iced pour over, make sure to double the amount of tea as it will be diluted by the ice.
This elegant, delicate, inviting, and sweetly spiced drink will knock your fancy little socks off! If you’re not a fan of chai or don’t consume dairy, try a nut milk in place of cream or simply leave out the final step.
