As much as I’d love to eat donuts everyday, I’m not willing to see what that would do to my already imperfect figure SO- I tried my hand at some 100 calorie muffins last night. They were delicious! Just a little flour, oats, unsweetened apple sauce, some cinnamon, blueberries, and a couple other ingredients- and voila! 25 minutes later you get these little beauties. Creating something yummy and pretty from next to nothing is more rewarding than I can say. It relaxes and thrills me! (Fills me, too!) ¿QUE ES? La dieta cetogenica o tambien conocida ultimamente como la dieta keto derivado de la palabra en ingles "ketogenic" se llama asi por que es un plan alimenticio muy pero muy bajo en la ingesta de carbohidratos. Cuando el cuerpo no tiene carbohidratos y reservas de glucogeno para obtener energía (ATP) utiliza la grasa y los cuerpos cetonicos como fuente alterna de combustible, quedando el cuerpo en un estado cetogenico o de cetosis. ¿COMO FUNCIONA? Consiste en una alimentacion a base de grasas saludables y una dismnucion de la ingesta de carbohidratos a menos de 20g al dia (un banano tiene 23g de carbohidratos) es decir casi nulo. Disminuir las proteinas a 1g por kg de peso al dia, es decir, si pesas 70 kg debes ingerir 70g de proteina. Y consumir entre 1.8 y 2 g de grasas por kg de peso, es decir, si pesas los mismos 70kg debes comer 130 -140g de grasa al dia. ¿QUE TIPOS DE ALIMENTOS SON PERMITIDOS Y QUE TIPOS DE GRASA? Verduras verdes como lechuga, espinaca, brocoli, coliflor, esparragos, habichuelas, calabacín, berenjena, tomate, aceitunas, pimiento. Dentro de las grasas: Aguacates, aceite de oliva, quesos, frutos secos, mantequilla, huevos, fiambres, tocineta, queso crema, aceite de coco, vinagreta, mayonesa. Carnes, pollo, pescados, mariscos, moluscos, entre otros. BENEFICIOS: la perdida de peso es uno de los principales, el cuerpo al agotar sus reservas de glucogeno y tener tan poca ingesta de glucosa diaria se ve obligado a utilizar las reservas de grasa directamente, y se convierte en una maquina quema grasa. Disminuyen los niveles de insulina en sangre haciendo al organismo mas sensible a esta misma y algunos estudios demuestran el control de la diabetes tipo II casi en su totalidad. I see a lot of people making fun of people who live a Vegan Lifestyle and to me personally, it does not matter if you are Vegan , Vegetarian , Pescatarian , Keto , and etc If a person choses to live that lifestyle the more power to them For me , life is all about BALANCE and finding what works for YOU. I LOVE sharing all kinds of recipes for you guys and trying new foods that taste DELICIOUS regardless if they are Vegan or not. There will be lumps so I always make sure to put the mixture through a sift like you see in my video above ☝️☝️ - 🥪Pour the mixture into a mesh strainer and strain it through. You should have NO lumps at all. - 🥪In a pan , on medium heat , heat your pan and add some butter ( only a touch enough to coat the bottom of the pan ). Once it’s hot , ADD your crepe mixtureture and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute - 🥪 I cut my crepe in HALF while its in the pan to make it easier to flip because it’s fragile , so you can do that and flip it over . Keep flipping it over every 30 seconds until it’s nice and cooked and blistered in golden bubbles - 🥪Get some FRESH bread or Toast some EZEKIEL Bread like I did , Add LOTS of tomatoes with some salt and pepper on top, 1 Tablespoon of Mayo , baby spinach , and your Crepe and LIVE LIFE 😘

Today is Transformation Tuesday I am celebrating feeling like the old me again. As of today, I am only 5 lbs away from my pre pregnancy weight, and 25 more lbs away from goal weight. I was about 190 - 200lbs in the pic on the right, and 3 months postpartum. The pic on the left was taken 3 days ago in Puerto Vallarta, where I allowed myself to indulge in all of the carbs! Finally got to try a weighted blanket! I was on the fence about these for a long time. I feel like they are for certain types, and if you're one of those people that needs weight to sleep comfortably, you probably know it. I happen to be one of those people. I will, and have, sweat to death many nights, but it's more comfortable to me than being lightly covered. That being said, I thought I was probably "one of those people" that would really like one of these weighted blankets. I was right. I don't know the exact relation between my insomnia and anxiety, but they two haven't exactly improved each other. A heavy, calming, and comforting blanket, like a warm hug, sounded nice. This one was kindly sent to me by mwblankets, and I have been loving this thing since I got my 12lb box in the mail. It's cozy, but not hot, so I can feel the weight without overheating. I wondered at first of the weight would be enough, but I think it's just the right amount. It's comforting and calming, and does seem to help relieve some of the chest / body tension that can come with anxiety. I do find I sleep better and wake up less with the weight. I've been using it for about a month, and I honestly really like it. Savoury vs sweet breakfasts? You’re either in one camp or the other! :: :: I still can’t believe I’ve managed to transition from sweet to savoury breakfasts. For 33 years I ate fruit based, sweeter breakfasts! Then all of a sudden, upon a SIBO diagnosis I was stripped of grains! So I reverted to coconut flour pancakes (with blueberries). But then my body decided to reject eggs! For the first week ‘trial’ without eggs I would dread my breakfast. I can’t stomach the idea of meat in the morning so tofu or tempeh was my only protein option. But now I can barely wait to fang into my brekky! :: :: Pairing my soy based protein with avocado gives it enough good fat to be really satisfying and I genuinely like starting my day without any animal products. CLEANSE ME UP! 🍃I've decided to embark on a 3 day cleanse. Making juices yourself can often be very time taking and laborious, so this time I've made life a little easier and had it delivered all pressed and ready to go! I have previously done the radiance cleanse which is fantastic but quite pricey. After doing some research I soon realised that a lot of the cheaper cleanses deliver the juices frozen and not fresh, plus they often have added nasties. botaniclab offers fresh cold pressed cleanses delivered straight to the door in a cool box all at a much more affordable price!
