Y’all! Today has been 2 months since I started my curly hair journey. There has been so much time, money & patience spend in the past 2 months I would not even know where to begin!
But today there was a breakthrough! 🙌🏻 Today I tried a few new things (I know, a CG no no to try more than one new thing at a time). But I got the best results I’ve EVER HAD!
I’ve really been wanting to try a rice water rinse to see if the extra protein would make a difference in my hair & leta just say the answer was a resounding “YES!” Or maybe “YASSS GIRL” I clarified, did a rice water rinse and then deep conditioned.
Then I followed in the footsteps of goodgravyitswavy and her clumping technique. This video can be found in her “Tips & Tricks” highlight. After rinsing the DC I used a regular conditioner followed by completely rinsing and squishing cold water into my hair. I then used a dime sized amount of officialkinkycurly Knot Today leave in, followed by about 5 pumps of giovannicosmetics hair styling foam. I topped it all off with my new moptophair curling custard still following the same technique. But just look at these CLUMPS! These are the biggest, fattest clumps I’ve had yet!
I diffuser until 75% dry, added a little jessicurl Spiralicious grazed over my hair and then clipped and air dryer for a few hours. I took the clips out, fluffed with my hands and Spriggle pick, and then SOTC with a satin scarf.
The results are ASTOUNDING to say the least! Check out my next post for the results!
