I did not enjoy this morning’s workout at all. Basically you were supposed to keep the treadmill at a 10 incline for 20 minutes 😳 it broke my brain because I my calves couldn’t do it 😩 I really don’t like workouts that mess with your head 😏the floor block was ok so it could have been worse 🤪 it could also have. Not a bad way to start the Monday. Good workout in 💪🏻 You can tell I was dying by my forehead vein making an appearance. See 2nd pic 😂 I literally rolled out of bed today, put music on, set up and started my workout within 5 min and it only lasted 25! Once upon a time I practiced Ashtanga yoga for an hour and a half each and every day. I'd do it in the morning. I'd go to class after running a couple miles after work. I'd practice right before swimming a few laps in the pool. I did it in my bedroom. I'd do it on the cold, hard, tiled front porch. I'd do it on my mat in the living room. I'd do it on the grass in the backyard. I'd do it on the beach. My practice shifted to Anusara and alignment after mucho back injuries kept happening. I infused it with with svaroopa yoga to fix those injuries. Then I had a baby. My body shifted. My exhaustion soared. My practice became non-existent. My hamstrings tightened. My muscles atrophied. I had shame. Doubt. Regret. I got beat up by my ego over and over and over again. I was told, "once your son is 3 it'll feel normal again." 3! HA! He's 3. I can't believe it. But something's shifting again. I'm doing yoga every day with him by my side. I'm not beating myself up as much. He's seeing his mama move and be consistent and be focused. I'm stepping into each new day as a new complete journey. As a clean slate. I'm being kind to myself. But it's time. The pavement's gonna feel my pounding once again. Day 63 AAA. This is my least favorite workout. There is this part of my brain that believes that when you workout for an hour you should actually sweat. Not today. Today was slooooooowwwww. But I maxed out on a bunch of weights and moved up to 20 lb dumbbell curls 💪🏻 And 35 lb bilateral presses that still felt too light to me 😬 I guess all the push ups do work?! Going for a morning walk to clear my head and maybe sweat a little.

Long Monday post. Word for the day has to be consistency Looking back - so I know that looking forward is the only option. Never again do I want to be that fat and lazy again. So over the last three weeks I’m quickly heading towards my best ever measurements. After spending the first part of the year chasing down other dreams. Now I’m chasing a totally new goal which goes beyond.
