So today is the start of week 3 for the strength training program i'm on and it didnt go as planned. For the past few days, all of my lifts have been lighter then they should but they feel super heavy and the same thing happened today so i decided that this week will be a deload week. I havent had one in a while and its good to have one every 6-8 weeks when doing intense training to promote recovery so that after the deload week, you're back to normal if not doing better. So today i did some core and a light chest day. Next week ill be back to my strength program. Oh hello Monday! Another fabulously sunny Spring day here meant more yoga on the deck. Here is my post-run splits attempt! In my case, this pose is usually reserved for very loosened up hamstrings and hip flexors - so definitely not my regular go-to pose after a run! 😆 But, it felt good to do today, even if I didn't go as far into it as sometimes.
