Incredibly excited to announce that I’ve officially become a jeweler for buffalocraftco! This is a massive step for my career as a jeweler. Thank you to Mark Farrell at Buffalo Craft Company for graciously offering and entrusting me a jeweler position as his first employee. •
This journey started with an apprenticeship at a local jewelry store. When I first started, I had just needed a summer job to make some money. Little did I know that this would grow into a passion of mine and in fact, be the passion that saved me from the depths of depression and identity loss I was going through at the time. As I immersed myself into the craft, I discovered all sorts of different avenues that helped feed my need for expressing creativity that I’d inherently been searching for. One of the things that struck my interests were gem cutting, so I reached out to one of my favorite lapidary artists, hashnustones and was able to work with him for a few days to learn more about the process. It turned out that I loved it and took the necessary steps to attain the equipment. Little did I know that this interaction would be the start to an awesome friendship/mentorship and eventually lead to connecting me with Buffalo Craft Co Pursue your passions, try as many different things as you can. You never know who you’re going to meet along the way who will change your life. Put yourself out there, work hard, be authentic, and everything else follows. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, all of this is because of you and I’m eternally grateful “Pursue what is meaningful, not what’s expedient.”
First bead and bright cut setting! Not too shabby huh?
