I like sharpsbrewery beers. I like how they keep it clean and simple. This one for example, starts out fruity hoppy on the nose, leads on a to a biscuity-malty, caramel flavour profile and is pretty balanced for a 'Red IPA', not very IPA-like. Es una bebida que me parece súper rica y refrescante. 🤤 Me encanta entre cada trago, sentir la fruta picada y poderla masticar. 🥰 Siento que le da muy buen sabor, además de que la fruta también agarra el sabor del vino. 😍 Varía la receta, dependiendo de quién la hace y donde. Pero mucha gente le pone manzana 🍏 y 🍎 picada, melón🍈, pera 🍐, algunos hasta 🍓 y 🍑. In the beautiful bar of COA Restaurant doradobeachreserve you will find this little white oak barrels with infused rum to create original drinks ➰ The flavors are great, not sweet, not sour, just delicious, well balanced (and I have to tell, I’m not a rum person and I love it) ➰Its delicate and sweet aromas played a very important role in this tasting (Imagine christmas candles aromas of cinnamon and ginger). Happy ThirstyThursday guys! You could say this qualifies for a WineWednesday post too as I’m featuring another great Sherry from Xecowines . I’ve been using their crisp dry Fino since last year so it’s great to finally play with the Amontillado Sherry also affectionately known as the Monti! I did go very fancy with it for the drink I made for Bourbon Legend Eddie Russell (Wild Turkey Master Distiller) - see last Sunday’s post. So today I wanted try one of their signature serves perfect for lovely weather we’ve had in the UK . The Monti is luscious to drink, it’s basically an aged Fino which results in a nutty taste profile and if you swipe through the pics you’ll see the resulting gorgeous colour . There’s great complexity too: . 👃🏼On the nose - sweet notes almost apricot / almond / stone fruit to my hayfevered nose 👅To taste it’s still bone dry like the Fino with tones of vanilla, burnt papaya, a touch of caramelised lime . 🏁Finish - ending in lingering hazelnutty and cinnamon spices, so lingering I had to have some cheese with it As I said this is yummily complex, maybe if I tried it again tomorrow it would reveal new taste sensations and certainly you might describe it differently too, but it provides a great canvas to mix with or try as this summer serve: . MONTI COBBLER 50ml XecoWines Amontillado Sherry 25ml Fresh lime juice 15ml Sugar syrup Muddled Strawberries & Raspberries & Mint Garnish: more fruit & mint Glassware: ChefEtSommelier . Muddle Fruit in a shaker, then add 4-5 mint leaves and gently muddle as well, add the rest of ingredients lime juice, sugar syrup, and sherry, stir till combined, then pour into an ice filled tumbler, and stir well. Add a splash of soda or tonic to top . Devant l'île de la Tentation avec un sos chocolat chaud pur cacao provenant d' epicesdumonde. Rien de plus simple, juste besoin d'ajouter 20 cl de lait chaud et hop le tour est joué 😍 Bienfaits pour la santé du chocolat chaud: Boisson chaude très appréciée de bon nombre d’entre vous, je suis réputée pour mon onctuosité, mes vertus apaisantes et réconfortantes mais pas seulement. Acheter une préparation pour chocolat chaud c’est aussi bénéficier de multiples bienfaits pour la santé. La poudre de cacao à l’instar des baies de Goji, du curcuma ou encore de la spiruline appartiens à la grande et très prisée famille des super aliments, des aliments réputés pour leur richesse nutritionnelle. Une reconnaissance qui s’appuie sur sa capacité antioxydante très élevée (particulièrement riche en flavonoïdes, polyphénols) qui serait même selon certaines études 3 fois plus élevée que celle du thé vert, pour lutter contre le vieillissement, les maladies cardiovasculaires et l’hypertension.
