2 oz Bulleit Bourbon
3/4 oz Giffard Rhubarb Liqueur
1/2 oz Sang De Pascual Blood Orange Liqueur
1 oz Lemon juice
Muddle a quarter of a peach
Shake, up, garnish with peach and thyme.
Bourbon and peach. That classic combination. I think pretty much every cocktailbook has at least one drink based around it. It's my first time trying it though 😅 In fact, I'm pretty sure this my first ever Bourbon cocktail on this account! Don't faint, I have made Bourbon cocktails before! Just not since I started posting on Instagram apparently 😋 I couldn't tell you why to be honest. I can only say that I'm not that drawn to it 🤷♂️ Also, hallelujah! There's a kind of spirit where I don't have a wishlist as long as my arm apparently! The girlfriend will never believe it!
All of the above being said though, this was a very tasty number! It's like I'm willing summer into being by the power of my mind alone. Fruit overload people!
It all started with the fresh peach. Adding Bourbon was a no-brainer. And from the corner of my eye, I saw the generous sample of Giffard Rhubarb Liqueur that servedbysoberon gave me. Just enough left, I needed every drop 😅 (so sadly all gone now 😭) Lastly the Sang de Pascual. All that juicy fruit needed some zestiness! (does that make sense?) This stuff is quickly becoming my favorite citrus liqueur.
So come on Sun! Work with me here! Onwards to the weekend!
