➗➗ SATURDAY ➗➗ Opening March 30th, GEMALTE DIAGRAMME: Bauhaus, Kunst und Infografik. mkkingolstadt
DIE VERHÄLTNISSE (Relations), 2011. The piecemeal configuration of materials in this work does not obscure woodgrain, density, and a muted, earthen palette
The pie charts balance on shelves pretending to depict quantities, portions, and contents of terms like: “Opferbereitschaft” (spirit of sacrifice), “Beratungsbedarf” (need for advice), and “Leidensdruck” (burden of suffering)
Gemalte Diagramme is a group show featuring work by artist duo, Böhler & Orendt.
Artists have been welcomed by MKK to present work that relies in some way upon the power of geometry and symbol conveyed through design.

Die Verhältnisse (2011) | wooden objects on wall boards | 210 × 440 × 25 cm |
Three wall boards, painted white, are mounted in a vertical arrangement.
On each board there are eight circular objects, reminiscent of pie charts. They are roughly formed from scrap wood, each composed of several segments in different shades or colours. A sign placed in front of each of the objects allocates a term such as "Opferbereitschaft” (spirit of sacrifice), “Beratungsbedarf” (need for advice) or “Leidensdruck” (burden of suffering) to the respective object
