PLEASE DON'T SHOOT THE MESSANGER
I spent years dealing with chronic illnesses, and getting no where. No doctor recommended that I change my diet. I kept wondering what was causing my severe total body pain, headaches, migraines, etc
I did food tolerance tests, but that wasn't helpful for me. Truely an elimination diet was the most accurate way to get answers. AIP diet removed all common inflammatory foods. (For most people, unless you have a unique allergy to some vegetable. In this case I would have seen an allergist.) .
I waited until my symptoms subsided and my stomach began to heal before I would try to reintroduce food. This took me almost a year for some symptoms to decrease. I followed the food reintroducing recommendations, so I could determine if one food was offensive or not. If I ate them all at once, I'd never know which one set off my symptoms
It was so worth it! Now I know what causes more inflammation in my body. I can eat eggs again, tomatoes sparingly, nuts and seeds, chick peas, etc. I'm no longer afraid that something might cause severe suffering. Now I know! I'm empowered!
