However, it can be toxic when you block out all other benefits of exercising and focus just on your image.⁣ ⁣ I was so delighted to hear two clients last week say that their goal was to get stronger. No prompts from me. I spoke about how this made me happy in my Instagram story. Why? Because I believe health and fitness is holistic. Having just an aesthetic goal that you base your success on can be detrimental if you become toxically obsessed with it. ⁣ ⁣ If you do have an aesthetic goal, pair that with other goals. ⁣ ✨ Getting stronger⁣ ✨ Being able to move more⁣ ✨ Developingg good habits through a healthy lifestyle⁣ ✨ Having a positive mindset to reaching your goals.⁣ ⁣ Once I discovered this myself, my own journey with health and fitness was so much more rewarding. I was happier. I wasn’t scared of getting bulky by training my upper body. I became confident when I got stronger.⁣ ⁣ I say this to help you with your own journey. It’s ok to want to lose weight, be leaner. However, don’t just focus on that. There are so many other aspects of your life that improve. ⁣ ⁣ So get strong. Get happy. Get healthy. The energy and the vibe tonight was unbelievable - the laughter and the passion was amazing Wasn’t the normal boxing class as I had some inspiration from a good friend (Troy) to run a class that’s fun, different and lively and that’s what we did - these guys pushed and pushed and trusted me with what I had install for them. 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 🌱🌸✨ We might not realise it but we may have negative self-talk about exercise in our daily lives. Things like:⁣⁣⁣ 😞“I had donuts, gotta burn those 400 calories on the treadmill.” ⁣⁣⁣ ☹️“I cheated, I’m going to do x2 extra HIIT classes to undo what I did”⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I’ve been there with that same mentality that we have to “punish” or force ourselves to exercise because we ate “bad” foods. But this breeds a really bad and negative mindset. And mindset is EVERYTHING. Our actions stem from this. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ So instead, why don’t we celebrate the fact that we have bodies that do incredible things? Like be able to walk. Be able to exercise. Be able to LIVE.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Let’s change our mindset. And our dialogue. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 😊“I ate food so therefore I have energy to exercise”⁣⁣⁣ ☺️“Oh, I had one too many donuts but that’s cool because that means extra energy to fuel myself in the gym”⁣⁣⁣ 🥰“I have an able body and the opportunity to better myself. How do you keep up a healthy lifestyle through exercise? Find your groove. Find physical activities that make you happy. ☺️🌟 The 🔑 to getting results is to be able to do something consistently. If you force yourself into doing something you dislike and don’t enjoy, what are the chances you’ll keep doing it? Little to none. For me, when I found a powerlifting style of training with lifting weights, it made me want to get stronger with my squat, bench and deadlift🏋🏽‍♀️ When I found my love for dance again, it inspired me to do more cardiovascular activities through dance. 💃🏽 Ask me to go for 10k run? I probably wouldn’t do it daily because I don’t enjoy running. Everyone is different! Same with you! If you’re stuck in a rut, always saying your going to go workout, but never ending up doing it, it’s probably because you may not enjoy what you are doing. I encourage you to try different ways of exercising, find something you enjoy and keep doing it! Whether it be yoga, resistance training, or going out for a walk. I got these implants because of my ribs sticking out - I was always self conscious about it and I thought the implants would make me look more proportional. Now looking at a before and after I can see that I like no implants much better! 🙌😁 My torso actually looks longer without them - I absolutely love having my natural breasts againit just feels right! 😊 This a journey of loving myself again - less worrying about my weight/looks and more focus on things that matter! I absolutely can’t wait to start working out again but workouts I love not ones to change my body type. I am going to workout for enjoyment like I used too 🙌 Who is with me? ❤️❤️

Fitness doesn’t have to be a hassle, a chore. It can grow to be something you love. ⁣ ⁣ I used to hate working out. ⁣ I hated every second of it because I was out of shape. ⁣ I would do the stair climber and leg day becauseeveryone else was doing that so why not 🤷🏼‍♀️⁣ ⁣ And that’s why I wasn’t getting results. You can fall in love with the process. Find something you love, mix it up. ⁣ Don’t continue to punish yourself by doing the same thing but hoping for a different outcome. ⁣ ⁣ The flexibility of having the “Netflix of Workouts” is that I can switch it up. ⁣ I switch from program to program, start to finish so that I’m not getting bored. I go to the gym when I want a different environment. I switch up between yoga, cardio, hiit, and lifting because I can. ⁣ That’s when I started seeing the best results. ⁣ ⁣ Access to my “Netflix of Workouts” is only on SALE for a few more days. If you have considered it, do it by Saturday! If you need flexibility, do it too. If you need guidance, let’s chat. ⁣ ⁣ Don’t miss the sale but better yet, don’t punish yourself by working out. Find something you love!

La clé d’une remise en forme ? La constance oui 🙈 mais l’équilibre 💕 Tu sais pourquoi les régimes ça fonctionne pas ? Parce que tu coupes tout drastiquement et que tu n’as droit à aucune bouffe le « fun » (tseee genre ta coupe de vino du vendredi soir ou ta crème glacée de journée chaude 🍦) fake un moment donné tu craques et la tu abuses de mauvaise bouffe 🤷‍♀️ Same story pour les résolutions de nouvelle année 🙄 janvier février et parfois mars: les gym débordent pcq ahh l’année passée était pas bonne mais cette année je m’y remets sérieusement —> 1h/jour , 6 jours/semaine . Au bout de 2 mois ? Tu t’écœures parce que t’as aucun plaisir et aucun résultat aussi vite que tu le voudrais fake tout le monde arrête 😳 J’étais la première à m’entraîner au moins 1h par jour presque tous les jours pour essayer d’avoir des résultats et découper un peu mais mautadine que je prenais AUCUN plaisir à aller m’entraîner🤷‍♀️ Ça fait plus qu’un an que j’ai trouvé mon équilibre maintenant et je ne changerais plus ça pour rien au monde ❤️ J’ai appris à manger bien et à apprécier mes « cheat » sans en abuser (la modération a bien meilleur goût you knowwww, mais j’ai encore du chemin à faire sur l’alimentation 😅), je bouge un minimum presque tous les jours et surtout je m ‘AMUSE en le faisant 👯‍♀️ . Mon corps a beaucoup changé en un an, mais le best dans tout ça ? J’ai un meilleur mindset, j’apprécie mon mode de vie équilibrée et je ne vis pas dans les restrictions 💕 . I’ve enjoyed my weight training class on every Tuesday since last December. I first started this with Fx Pump, by then I can only lift 1 kg on each side. Then, that class stopped, it was replaced by Group Power by a company called Mossa. Still, I enjoy it as our instructor is amazing!Now, I can lift 3.5kg on each side, not much comparing to many others. Here’s an upper body workout at the gym: back & biceps I’ll be the first to say it… This workout has no functional value other than making you look good and feeling good. Which is just as important I mean who doesn’t want their arms to look good? Are you going to get hurt doing these exercises? Nope, probably not. Does an athlete need a whole workout focused on their arms? no, it has no true value for them. BUT, does it gives them confidence and make them feel good when they look in the mirror or on the beach? Yes. Therefore, it’s important. Does an average gym goer like me need to do arms? No. BUT I enjoy adding things like bicep curls into my program because it makes me feel good and confident. Therefore, it’s important. Does a bodybuilder need to dedicate days to their arms? Yes, so keep doing you There is true value in arm days for you! Moral of the story is, if it’s not going to hurt you or cause you any pain, it’s okay to do. If something brings you joy, interest, or confidence, do those things. I am all about functional training, and exercise with a purpose and doing things “right”. But, you are not wrong for wanting a certain look, or more definition in your arms, or for doing a certain exercise that is not going to bring you pain now or in the long run.
