UPDATE: Notre Dame DT Jerry Tillery (shoulder) is ahead of schedule in his recovery and expects to be cleared for football activities in early July, per Ian Rapoport.
Tillery underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in early March and was unable to participate in any pre-draft workouts.
With that said, Tillery recently met with shoulder specialist, Dr. Peter Millett, and it was determined that he is ahead of schedule in the recovery process.
NFL scouts project Tillery to be a first-round pick, and his positive health update certainly helps his case to be selected on Thursday night.
Tillery (6-6, 295lbs) recorded 30 tackles, 10.5 for loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles, and two blocked kicks in 13 starts for the Fighting Irish last season.
