Fun Fact: 🚨Boxing has been a part of my life since I was a kid. I spent a few years in other sports, but boxing has always been a core part of my identity. Reaching your goals can be done in many ways, but to me, there has truely been ONE key that unlocked the door to success in 2019. It has little do with eating right or lifting heavy. It’s a simple five letter word which in more ways than one have eluded me for years! Ready for it🤫?? SLEEP! Or indeed resting. I decided before Christmas to do something about my sleeping pattern which for a long time had been going to bed at 1:30 am, and waking up at 7am. For the past 12 weeks I have made it a goal to be in bed between 10:30 pm and midnight. The difference is extreme! I have a lot more energy during workouts, work and at home. This makes working out easier. I also decided to cut down on how often I worked out. Three times a week give me plenty of rest, which means (again) more energy at the gym. Finally I also learned the value of resting between sets when lifting heavy. When I was yonger I spent 30-60 seconds resting, and was always worn out half way through. I saw no results (but plenty og injuries)! Now however, I spend more time getting ready to perform, and get a lot more out of each session. To sum all this up: Sleep and rest is actually the key to progress!
