Limb 5, Pratyahara, can be described as the ultimate focus by isolating your consciousness from any external distractions during practice. Limb 6, Dharana is the concentration needed in meditation. Practitioners are taught to send all their attention to a single focal point. Limb 7, Dhyana is the meditation. Limb 8, Samadhi is the pure contemplation which is a state of being in unity with the divine. This is subjective to each practitioner.
