•grab yourself a dumbbell (start with a lighter weight until you get a feel for the exercise. Once you’re comfortable and have the movement down, go up in weight)
•feet are in a wide set stance with toes pointed out
•hold the dumbbell centered in front of your body
•slowly start lowering the weight towards the ground while simultaneously hinging at the hips
•once you feel tension in your hamstrings, drop your butt down into a squat position
•as you lower your butt, raise your chest up and shoulders back (don’t hunch over!)
•drive through your feet into a standing position
•4-5 sets of 10 reps
A few things to keep in mind for this exercise:
•keep your back nice and straight throughout
•don’t let your shoulders drop forward or lower back arch
•as soon as you feel the tension in your hamstrings drop your butt into a squat! If you over extend you could pull or strain a muscle
•breathe in as you are lowering down, breathe out as you lift against the weight into a standing position
•keep your core engaged!

This workout can be done anywhere. Grab one dumbbell and let’s get to work. This is a four exercise workout. You can also use it as a warmup if you’d like.
30 seconds each exercise. 10 second rest between.
3️⃣One sided bent over row
4️⃣Burpee over dumbbell
That’s one round. Take as much rest as you need.
