When I went vegan I couldn’t help myself—I bought every convincing documentary that was out at the time, and insisted that Tommy watch them with me. He did so reluctantly, but he did it nevertheless. I started with Cowspiracy, then Food Matters, and not in any particular order he watched Forks Over Knives, Speciesism, Peaceable Kingdom; and after he went vegan he watched Earthlings, and What the Health. Documentaries are a powerful way to get the people you love to see the light, and many of them can be seen on Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime. When I went vegan, I went crazy on my husband because the violence that I was complicit to had been building up for so long. I threw all animal products out of the house, and dared him to cross me. I put my foot down and absolutely forbade him to eat animals-or their excretions in our home. I watched slaughter house videos every day for hours at a time. I would cry, scream, and run around the house calling Tommy a murderer. Tommy would plead with me to stop watching the violent footage. The way that I got him to watch the documentaries was by telling him that if he watched the documentaries with me, I would not watch the slaughter house videos that day. It worked. And, combine the documentaries with great meat, cheese, and ice cream substitutes and it wasn’t long before Tommy was a professed vegan Watch the full video of this talk on my YouTube channel. BUT it's time to smash my second big sessino of the week after work. Starting with 5 sets of deadlifts. We're going sumo We're going belt! Gonna work up to some heavy sets and I can't wait! Bloody love this type of training!💪🏼 . Also, I took some progress pictures for the first time in AGES yesterday. I'm gonna do them once a week throughout this program and see where I get to. I've got a bit of a break in 8 or so weeks. I'm going to hike the West Highland Way in August which is a 95 mile walk over the course of 5 days. I'm psyched for that! Mix it up a bit. Eng's Wantan Noodle 🍜 . Eng's Wantan Noodle is wholly made with Egg and Flour. Served with a light sauce, Char Siew, Vegetables, Wantons and Fried Lard, this bowl of Noodles make a comforting meal 😊 . We like the Noodles, which have a semi-firm texture, and tastes very eggy. The Noodles are also thicker than the typical Mee Kia. The Char Siew, which have a decent amount of fat, is soft with a delectable sweetness.
