"Another Stupid Creationist talking point"
One thing creationists like to bring up as an attempted rebuttal of evolution is how we don't have a record of every single transitional fossil. However, to think we would is absurd as not all fossils remain intact some are destroyed during natural disasters, lost, or remain in areas we have not yet been able to reach. However, what we do have is proof enough. We know that aquatic life has been around since before terrestrial life and proved it when we found the remains of tiktaalik which was a transitional species that bridges both land and water. It had both lobed fins with ankle bones, a skull shaped like an amphibian with eyes on the top of its head, and scales with a set of lungs. We also have fossils of a transitional species called Pakicetus which looked like a wolf but could live in the water. We've also found that the blowhole on modern whales originated from the nostrils of early animals by tracing the movement of the bone structure on fossils. So for a creationist to say we don't have fossil records that prove evolution is out right false. It's also important to know that fossils aren't our only means of proof, for example, DNA evidence has also been useful in proving evolution. That's something for another essay though.
