Day 12, last day. Today I lost to the bottle since Bran crashed on Wednesday I have been up around the clock trying to support Bran and later also Arya with extra feedings. Bran made a small recovery on Thursday but then Arya started to crash. Mother Cate became increasingly stressed and confused and abandoned the kittens more and more. In spite of my efforts, I could not get enough food into them for them to recover. Today I made the difficult decision to separate the family. The kittens have gone to an experienced foster for bottle babies, who have the time and knowledge to raise them on the bottle, giving them the best chance of survival. Mum is back in the animal shelter. Fingers crossed 🤞 and paws crossed 🐾 for everyone
QOTD: What do you you think about the very last episode of Game Of Thrones and the whole season 8 in general?
🚨spoilers in the first part of the caption🚨
I saw that so many people are deeply disappointed. I do agree that things feel rushed. Many of the events make sense to me, like Danaerys Targaryen torching King's Landing, but I think it would have been more understandable if more time had been spent focussing on all of the triggers leading up to this twist, eventually resulting in her losing the connection to the real world.
It is unsatisfactory that several questions still remain unanswered, e.g. who the biggest antagonist the Night King really is (also his unspectacular death is a bit underwhelming). And after spending so many seasons exploring this huge world and all of its characters, it would have been great to see what happenes to some of the places and characters that have been introduced but that do not serve the primary storyline. There are definitely too many loose ends.
It may be the weakest season, but all in all I still felt entertained.
A FEAST FOR CROWS is the first book in the series I didn't give five stars on Goodreads. I gave it four stars which I consider a good rating.
I still love this world and its characters so much, but Martin overdoes it with the multiple characters this time. There are several side characters introduced that only get one or two chapters. For that reason, I really struggled at several points to follow the plot because I had no idea who the characters are and sometimes even where the plot takes place. And I think too many things that are not of real importance happen. And the dialogues felt like empty babble too often.
House Stark has held Winterfell for 8,000 years, though it has been considerably expanded upon over the centuries. It was said to have been built by House Stark's founder, Bran the Builder, during the Age of Heroes, who was also said to have constructed the Wall and even Storm's End.
Good memories from family stark in the beginning
