Making $1000/ month on Poshmark is not only attainable- it’s easy once you know how! Here are 5 steps to follow to get consistent sales of $1000 or more per month!
1. Cultivate your following/ Have a store concept.
When I first started, I branded myself as a boho closet and I carried a ton of Anthropologie and Free People. Later on, I switched my focus to jeans. And now I have mostly a vintage closet. You can focus on anything that interests you: plus sized, athleisure, cosplay, festival fashion, mens, preppy, etc. Whatever it is, keep the aesthetic of your closet consistent and stock a lot of the items within your focus. This way you become known for a certain market.
2. Get the right gear!
This does not have to be a huge expenditure or purchased all at once. I have gathered more supplies as my business has organically grown. Some supplies I find necessary or useful: -definitely stock up on free USPS boxes and envelopes by ordering online
-shipping supplies: I use bubble bags, bubble wrap, tissue paper, clear packing tape, cellophane envelopes, printer ink and paper
-storage supplies: I use clear storage bins, metal shelves, and a portable hanging rack
-photo supplies: These are not necessary but I like a dress form and a inexpensive paper backdrop from amazon. I use natural light, but if you don’t have access to this, many people use light kits or ring lights. I suggest ring lights for a novice. I also recently got a tripod and remote for my phone for $14 through Amazon and it is fantastic for modeled shots!
3. Self Shares and Listing
This is the MOST important step! The more you do, the better. This is the minimum I find I can do and still get consistent sales and at least $1000 in sales:
List 4items/ day
Share entire closet once in the evening during pm party or later.
4. Use the selling tools the app offers:
Utilize tools such as “offers to likers” or sending offer to bundles. Everyone has different strategies for this- and Stella- you’re gonna have to find your own groove here- but not using these tools at all would be a fool’s errand.
5. Use Social Media as a learning and marketing tool!
Promote yourself while learning from the community 💕
