I wasn’t experiencing rough mental health for a solid while but the last month has proved that mental health is a journey. Picture me 80lbs ago tbh I still feel this way sometimes looking back in the mirror. Health can be struggle no matter who you are, and this chapter of my life was truly a humbling and much needed experience. Along the journey there will be good days, bad days, years, months, whatever, but we all go through our slumps. • • • Easier said than done, but we can’t let these times define us, define our worth, or define our future. Rather than dwell on the past, and past bad decisions what are some practices you can do today to help shape a healthier you tomorrow? • • • Everyone’s answer should be different, because we’re all different and have our own unique paths we must follow. As a health professional I take joy in helping others find that path for themselves, but for myself it’s still a journey I struggle with daily and “easy” is just a perception 👁 Changing and transforming can be scary, but you don’t have to do it alone. Join the appropriate community to help get you to your goals, and know once you get there, there will always be more. Life is constant change and adaption, but the fun begins when you practice more selflove than hate. Eine ganz liebe Person hatte eine sehr schwere Operation, jetzt ist sie ungeduldig, es geht alles zu langsam, die Zeit geht so schnell vorbei ohne das es wirklich besser geht, mein jüngster Sohn kann es nicht erwarten daß die Schulzeit zuende ist, die Zeit vergeht nicht schnell genug, ich habe im Moment sehr viele Termine und muss unzählige Dinge organisiert da ich eine Reise plane und der Tag hat nicht genug Stunden, da die Zeit nur so dahin fliegt. Zeit ein kostbares Gut und doch läuft sie uns oft davon! Wo ist die Zeit geblieben? Ich habe garnicht gemerkt wie schnell die Zeit vergeht? Die Zeit hätte ich besser nutzen können! Zeitsie ist begrenzt. Versuchen wir sinnvoll mit ihr umzugehen, jeden Augenblick zu genießen oder wenigstens einige, versuchen wir etwas zu erreichen, in der Zeit die wir haben, damit wir am Ende sagen können, ich habe gelebt und das beste aus meiner Lebenszeit gemacht. With Mental Health Awareness Week approaching tomorrow (Monday 13 to Sunday 19 May) I wanted to take this opportunity to share that I will be running my first Half Marathon (The Richmond Half) on Sunday 15th September to help raise money for Mind - the Mental Health Charity. Also hoping to secure a place in next year’s London Marathon 2020 🙌🏻 . I’ve recently found my own passion for running and wanted to try and give something back whilst doing something which I love. Running (and most exercise) supports mental well-being as it decreases the levels of hormones associated with stress - running keeps me sane and allows me to clear my head & thoughts ✨ . Every year, one in four people will experience a mental health problem, but hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. I would like to do my bit to help tackle the stigma surrounding mental health and help change the conversation. Too often, people feel afraid to admit that they are struggling with their mental health and this fear of prejudice and judgement stops people from getting the help they desperately need Good mental health is fundamental to thriving in life. It is the essence of who we are and how we experience the world. Yet, compared to physical health, so little is commonly known about mental ill health and how to prevent it - that must change Hopefully through this fundraising, I will inspire some people to talk about their own mental health and feel able to support their friends and families through any difficult times which they may be facing Please kindly find the link to my fundraising page in my bio. Happy Monday 🏃🏻‍♀️ . 4.5 miles covered. I would’ve liked to of covered more, but I’m happy with that pace Mixed feelings on this run today. My legs were hurting from leg day on Saturday, I’ve small blisters (gross) & had quite a lot on my mind . However, focusing more on the positives, I covered a good distance, cleared my mind & know I’m getting fitter & stronger every time . Always take the positive from any situation you can and allow this to let you grow ✨

F R I D A Y F E E L I N G 🏃🏻‍♀️ . Today’s stats from a solo run on my favourite route. Admiring some of my favourite parts of London Missed my running gang, but it felt good to also run alone and just zone in and enjoy 🙌🏻 . I also passed the 24 miles mark which the London Marathon Runners londonmarathon will be passing this Sunday. I felt emotional for them just seeing this sign ✨ . Good luck to everyone taking part, it’s an incredible achievement and you should all feel extremely proud 🙌🏻

Easy like Sunday morning 🏃🏻‍♀️ . So, for people that know me will know that I’m not usually a runner and getting used to running again after a while off can be brutal, but your body and mind start to acclimate more quickly than you think and I can already see myself improving every week I have definitely found a new love for running as not only does it burn body fat quickly, have several other health benefits, but it makes me feel SO good afterwards. Running significantly boosts my mood & reduces my anxiety. I woke up yesterday with things playing on my mind and once I got back from this run my mind was clearer and I felt more focused, plus I’d hopefully just burned off the Easter egg I ate the night before 🐽 . These are yesterday’s stats. 5 miles, which is my longest road-run recently. Not the quickest pace, but steady and consistent with 0 stops and the main goal was to reach the 5 miles mark. Don’t judge the route, I need to be more adventurous with the route next time & thank you to the ultimate DJ Queen whose House Playlist made me feel like I was in Miami and not doing laps around Sidcup 🤣 xxlaurenwillsxx 💜
