ALCOHOL & WEIGHT LOSS In today’s world, it is very difficult to avoid drinking completely. Even though following a healthy diet is under control, there are drinks where we lose! Choosing the right drink with fewer calories can actually keep you on a healthy track. Prefer low-calorie drinks like wine, champagne, vodka-soda etc.✔️ Avoid cocktails as they contain sugars, syrups, and juices that account for maximum calories ❌ Quantity One can consume one drink per week in the following quantities (Make sure you are not having it every week) Beer ~330ml (153kcal) Brandy ~ 60ml (120kcal) Gin ~ 60ml (130kcal) Rum ~60ml (130kcal) Vodka ~60ml (130kcal) Whiskey ~60ml (130kcal) Food portion control is another important thing while taking those shots! A drink followed by a healthy snack to munch on and a wholesome dinner helps in avoiding unnecessary weight gain. You can munch on any two of the following side dishes alongside drinks: A bowl of boiled or roasted peanuts unsalted chana/boiled chana corn or chickpea chaat stir-fry veggies A bowl of salad sticks + 2 tbsp dips or hummus Two small pieces of paneer/ tofu/ chicken (either tikka, fried or grilled) A bowl of Greek/ Green/ Caesar salad (with veggies or chicken) Two pieces of poached egg whites/ roasted chicken or tikka or kebabs In Dinner options you can have following things (any one) tawa roti with dal tadka •paneer kathi/ soya kathi/ chicken kathi/ tikka roll •A bowl of veg biryani/ dal khichdi/ pulav/ chicken biryani with raita •A bowl of whole wheat pasta/ noodles with veggies or chicken. Please note that this information is for those who are already having drinks and having difficult time in losing weight. Alcohol isn't helpful in losing weight. If you can avoid then good😉 Tell me in comments if you agree or having any doubts or any interesting topic you want me to talk regarding weight loss❤️

So you've started a new exercise or diet plan but struggling to keep up with it? Are you craving for some cookies and pizza? . We've all been through this and it is okay. Many of us feel guilty for cheating on our diet or exercise but let me tell you one thing that guilt won't change a thing To overcome this first you need to review your plan. Is your plan too strict? Or is it making you weak? Many of the diet plans we follow are too perfect that we can't follow them but still we pay someone to get these plan that we know we are not going to follow Confusing but this is the Truth. So before following any plan carefully analyse your lifestyle and then make small changes accordingly Last tip i want to share is what you eat in your diet, try to make it more interesting and tasty. You don't have to eat only boiled chicken or steamed broccoli. There are various ways to cook these food items Don't look at diet and exercise as punishment because then you will never succeed. This journey should be fun, so just enjoy it.

"I want to stop dieting, but I'm scared I'll gain weight." "I don't trust myself around food." "I'm going to lose control, binge, and gain weight." . How many of you feel this way? . This is the dieters dilemma. And something I struggled with myself. For years I SO badly wanted to be able to eat "normally" and be FREE from restricting food But I was terrified of weight gain. In the past when I 'cheated' I would go all-out, binge until my stomach hurt, and then try 'undo' the damage by over-exercising or crash Dieting So, I stuck to my tracking and dieting because it felt "safer" . Thing is? Dieting is literally a TRIGGER for overeating. If you've been yo yo dieting for a long time, eating salads all the time or eating very less food, you're HIGHLY disconnected from your body's internal cues You've been sending signals to your body that: It's starving! It can't be trusted around food! It doesn't deserve to eat So - it's normal to have urges to overeat BUT, when you drop the rules, give yourself permission to eat, and actually listen to your internal cues, your body WILL learn that you aren't going to starve it anymore. Your desire to overeat will decrease You will reach a weight that you can maintain with food freedom. That's what I focus more on If your your body is past its natural weight? you may lose weight. Point is: It's OK. Your body will FEEL good, and you will be able to MAINTAIN it without obsessing or yo-yo-ing (And look: If you're "goal weight" requires that you obsess about food to maintain it It's not a healthy weight for your body to be at, because mentally you're trapped) . Continuing to yo yo DIET is just leading you further to disconnection from your own internal signals, and trust me your body never gonna maintain the weight you have lost by restricting food or by yo yo dieting. Hence its important to stay close to your regular indian food as much as you can when you are trying to lose any weight. Your diet plan must be versatile and should include variety of foods❤️ Does this makes sense to you? Which topic you wanna know more about? Please guide me in comment😉

BEST TIMES TO EAT . If you are delaying your breakfast or skipping your meal after a heavy workout or having long gaps between meals then this is for you The best times to eat can be a tricky question to answer. Here I try to explain in simplest way possible The best time to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner is individual for everyone based on your ability to plan healthy nutrient dense meals, and your schedule BREAKFAST Consider breaking the fast overnight giving your brain and body the energy it needs to function before beginning any daily tasks, perhaps this would be 45 minutes after waking up. Otherwise, you will be ravenous and more likely to overeat. Remember if you skip breakfast, you will likely eat up to 500 calories extra per day. Ideal time: 7-8am Do not have it later than 10am LUNCH Lunch is ideal about 3 to 4 hours after breakfast to maintain steady blood glucose and keep hunger manageable. Ideal time: 12.30-2.30pm Don't have it later than 4pm DINNER Dinner is best to be eaten again 3 to 4 hours after lunch and 3 hours before going to bed to promote optimal sleep and efficient use of calories. Ideal time: 7-9.30pm Don't have it later than 10pm If you are trying to lose weight then its better to have midmeals between your meals but dor timings let your body tell you when you are hungry But ideally you should take mid-morning snack between 10-11.30am and evening snack 4-5.30pm (depends on your breakfast, lunch and dinner time) . A good rule is to not eat after 8 pm, however, for the late riser who goes to bed late, it is okay to eat after 8 pm as long as you stop eating three hours before bedtime Ask me your doubts Il be happy to guide you as always ❤️

MONDAY BLUES Do Mondays feel overwhelming to you? Most women I speak to, want to start healthy eating but it feels like there are always SO many things to do every single day and not enough time to get them done Most of us overcommit and underdeliver - we have an unrealistic “to-do” list that’s 30 things long and we get maybe 3-4 of those things *actually* done — and then feel guilty and frustrated for not doing enough Psychologically this is a huge problem because we never feel a sense of accomplishment from completing tasks - we’re in a perpetual state of “I-haven’t-done-enough” which is VERY anxiety inducing When I started my weight loss journey I wasn't very consistent so lot of time I used to feel like a failure because it never felt like I had done “enough” to be satisfied But more importantly, when you repeatedly don’t do the things you say you will, you lose trust in yourself. Your basically give yourself permission to slack off - (it doesn’t really matter if you skip the gym, because you never *really* expected to get everything done, did you?) Your word stops mattering The solution? . Be. Realistic. With. Your. Time. Like seriously, stop saying you’re going to do 20 things when you know that’s not true. Commit to 3 things: What are the 3 THINGS that are non negotiable for the day that move your life forward? Write them down and then execute on nothing else but these 3 before you move on to lower priority stuff If you’re trying to get in a routine of healthy eating then - awesome. Add it to your 3 most important things and commit to it Mondays can be tough but don’t set yourself up for failure. You need to be able to fully trust yourself to do the things you say you’re going to do🖤 . I know this can be hard. And I know it can feel scary to prepare your to do list to 3 things—especially when you have , work, yourself, etc to get done. But give it a try. Does this make sense to you? How do you beat your monday blues? (I always eat my fav ice cream 🙈)

FEAR FOODS . Bananas, Rice, Grapes, roti, Peanut butter, potato For many years, these were some of my biggest "fear foods" Foods I was *irrationally* afraid would make me gain massive amounts of bodyfat if I took even one bite Some of these make no sense, but fear is not rational. And I knew nothing about nutrition at the time. (I heard somewhere that bananas were the "heaviest fruit" of them all and avoided them at all costs) Most women I speak to have "fear foods" of some sort - Saying things like, "If I eat a piece of cake I'm going to gain weight!” or "Rice makes me fat." SO. Today I want to remind you today that: . No single food item makes you gain fat or lose bodyfat. It's a prolonged, consistent, scientific diet plan that causes changes in our body composition. Remove the "good" and "bad" labels and learn to see food as just its nutrients ✔️The best way to lose control around a food is to restrict that food ✔️If fat loss is your goal do NOT give up the foods you love. You can learn to incorporate those in. I teach my clients how to do this via flexible dieting We live in a black and white society that teaches people to avoid food instead of learning to trust themselves around it - and labels food with moral terms like "good" or "bad." . Nutrition is not black and white. And food is SO much more than just "calories" It's celebration, love, friendship, social engagements. A healthy relationship with food involves being able to enjoy your LIFE while reaching your goals instead of letting the fear of food control you. So next time when you see rice dont be scared. It has good nutrition and if you plan properly you cab easily incorporate that in your diet that too in weight loss diet😉 . Was this helpful for you. Please ask your doubts in comments (DM's are full🙈)

Dear beautiful Wellwoman's❤️ . Can you see your own light? Are you aware of your own brilliance? Can you see the beauty you create, just by being you? How about your place in the world, can you see how large it is? How important you are? . Let me tell you something. You have powers that no one else has. You are a wonderful collection of magical, polished and raw talents. You know things that no one else knows. You are good at things that no one does better than you. The way you care about the people around you, in your own way, makes a difference in people’s lives💕 . Your place in people’s lives is more significant that you can possibly comprehend. You hold your own special kind of intelligence. You have unique wisdom that goes far into the future. You don’t have to compare yourself to anyone, because no one is in the same league as you. All people are different, and your magnificence is like a secret language. Your life stories are works of art.🤗 . Even when you are in the midst of great darkness, you have the power to lead and shepherd the people around you. Even when you feel like you fail, over and over again, you have already succeeded. There’s nothing else you need to do. I AM PROUD OF YOU🖤 . The beautiful truth is that you don’t have to do anything differently. Please don’t try to change who you are. Just being alive, just being you, getting up in the morning, doing what you love – all you have to do is breathe “Because your breath is life” & Your life is important🌸🌸🌸 . HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY Cheers to Womenahood🥂 Let's celebrate each other💕

HOW THIS FITNESS INDUSTRY FOOLS YOU I want to talk about something that’s been on my mind lately. The paradox of the fitness industry . Most of the fitness / weight loss industry is designed for your short-term success & long term failure. “Challenges,” detoxes, weight loss shakes. These produce some short term wins — But when the challenge is ove, what happens?😐 . Do you know how to eat normally to sustain the weight loss? (Or what “eating normally” is?) Do you know how to manage weight & eat mindfully? Do you trust yourself to incorporate social events without overeating? . For most women the answer is NO. After the challenge you’re left with- Re-gaining the weight✅ Not fully trusting yourself around food✅ With a worse body image than when you started✅ . So then you throw money at more programs, & the cycle continues The industry profits off the core message that "You can’t be trusted with your own body and always need something external to control it" . Yes: It can be helpful to work with a doctor/nutritionist to learn the science behind fat loss for your body. To hold you accountable, and make sure that what you’re doing is *working* But this is not something you need to do long-term. (Unless you want to) I am a FIRM believer that all women should have the basic knowledge of how to eat 'on your own' and 'how to maintain' . This means: ✅You know exactly how to eat for YOUR body to make it look, feel, and perform best. ✅You know how to ADJUST your nutrition on your own for various goals. ✅You know how to have LIFE - social events, date nights, treats without ruining progress. ✅You have a positive mindset with food and don’t use it to self sabotage This is not hard. But this info, habits, and a mindset you NEED to sustain results long term THIS is why I created the Wellwoman Desi Weight Loss Plan. This is NOT a diet plan to follow blindly. This is custom coaching designed to learn how to be fit for *life.* . If you’re ready to stop struggling and finally see some results, you are ALWAYS welcome❤️ (Link in Bio) (P. S. Contest is running and will get over tomorrow. Hurry up dont lose the chance🤗)

How to lighten up Indian meals for WEIGHT LOSS Indian food is so delicious with all our spices. Unfortunately most restaurants drown Indian food in oil/ cream/ butter 😬. If you’re cooking Indian food at home, here are some tips I use to lighten things up.Because absaremadeinthekitchen❤️ . 1. Use milk instead of cream in curries 2. Substitute tofu cubes for paneer in dishes like saag paneer to get more protein (make sure to use firm tofu or it’ll crumble). If not tofu paneer is also great . 3. Switch up your grains: Use Jowar, bajra, ragi, oats flour. Choose as per your tatste. They all are great. Make roti/ naan with whole wheat flour instead of white flour (it has more fiber, keeps you full longer) . 4. Use oil spray instead of oil when cooking stuff like chappatis on a pan. You honestly can’t tell the difference and it saves you tons of calories from the unnecessary oil. (Oil or ghee whatever you like) . 5. Try making curries with different proteins. Include more protein in your diet in the form of tofu, soyabean, masoor, moong dal, besan flour 6. Use lean cuts of meat in curries instead of fatty cuts (eg – chicken breast instead of thigh meat) . 7. Do smart indian snacking when home. Like khakra, sprouts, chai with baked snacks, poha, upma 8. Swap regular potatoes with other veggies like sweet potato that are still starchy carbs but have more nutrients and fiber 9. Go high on the spices! Get your flavor from the spices and food itself, and don’t mask these amazing flavors with extra fats 10. Try to minimise oil/ghee consumption in your daily use to 4-6 tablespoon. (Amount differs for person to person. Consult your doctor prior if you are having any underlying condition.) Hope this post will help you to convert your meals to desi weight loss meals❤️ Ask your doubts in comments below. Il be happy to guide you all😉 (P.S. Participate in our Women's day contest to get Desi weight loss plans and exciting voucher.)
