Sooo, I had my foot doc f/u yesterday eve and had repeat xrays and the stress fracture looks to better and healed, I’m still recovering and was given this lace up ankle brace to wear for 3-4 weeks all the time. It’s bulky but it’ll work. Wore it all day today. I walked a mile in the sunshine and low 50’s today It felt great! (I sure hope running is easy and pain-free as well) I came back home and rode the bike to get my cardio, but just did 40 min and then 15 min of abs. I’m told I can walk a mile!one day, then 2, 3, 4, then “jog😉” /walk (what did she say idk same build up? 1 mile, next day 2 that way, 3, then run my miles I do)! So beyond happy I put that boot away last night! 😂🤣Can’t wait for tomorrow ‘s TWO miles, then Sunday 3 Woohoo building up! 😂😅About the accessory navicular bone “extra bone there”, she wouldn’t know without a CT scan and I don’t need that right now, so we will just say I have “gorilla” (I have giant ones) navicular bones on X-ray and I hope I don’t have any more foot pain with doing the right stuff moving forward! (She explained the growth plates to me, and where we’d look for the accessory bone to be attached, but you just can’t tell on X-ray, oh and navicular bones don’t even develop til age 3 most have by 6 but some not til into early adolescence! Growth plate and development- I thought that was interesting 😃). That was a concern I had last visit so I’m glad that was put to ease yesterday, since I’d want to avoid flaring that with ANS (accessory navicular syndrome) from overuse, trauma, long distances, high impact, faster runs, etc. which can also pose a prob to the posterior tendon that inserts at the accessory navicular bone (usually does at the regular navicular bone)anyways that’s hopefully not a concern of mine 😂🙏💙🏃🏻‍♀️Got my eyes on doing the half (or full) in Nashville April 28th, I’ll be ready for one or the other, running in the brace possibly we’ll see Can’t wait 😃😎🥰 stressfracture lovetorun happytorun slowstarts recovering backatit runhappy runner runningproblems footproblems marathontraining halfmarathontraining anklebrace walking biking cardio workout progress

A few years ago if I wanted to work out on a Friday after work I would have had to: 1. Bring clothes to work to make sure I would go right to the gym after work. 🚘 2. Have motivation after work to drive to the gym (15 mins) change and find a treadmill or machine. 🏋🏻‍♀️ 3. Have a workout in mind (that I probably found on Pinterest) and half ass it because all i want to do is get home to my pets and fiancé and watch Game of Thrones 🤷🏻‍♀️ ORRRRRRRRRRRRR If you look above at what I did today after work: 1. Took a nap because work was exhausting this week 😴 2. Worked out in my living room for 20 minutes to a program that kicked my ass and required no thought or planning on my end. All I had to do was PUSH PLAY ▶️ and I got to have my fiancé and pets with me💍🐶🐱 3. I then proceeded to walk 5 steps to my couch and write this post 👏🏼(while watching Game of Thrones) 👑 BASICALLY ALL IM SAYING IS: If you are over all of your excuses of going to a gym and sick of trying to figure out how to get results and SO ready to be able to work out in the comfort of your own home (pants optional 👖) let a girl know because I want you to feel this happiness that I do! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I want to share this love!
