CONSISTENCY EVERY DAY My transformation was not a 3 month thing. It was a YEAR long build up and it is STILL ongoing 🔸If I didn't go to the gym with my trainer barbell_life every day I wouldn't have had the discipline to stick to my training program for Arnold's. 🔸If I didn't learn the hard way to incorporate the right foods while I was training to get the benefits of my training program I wouldn't have been so keen to stick to my diet. 🔸If I didn't see how long it takes and how strict you have to be with your training and your food I wouldn't have had the mental strength and patience for these last few months Yes I had a week of no consistency at all but tomorrow it's back to it. And the whole patience thing. Cause muscles don't build themselves in a day.

OFF DAYS • What they should actually be called are recovery days! • I lift 5 days a week and have 2 non lifting days per week. • Instead of just doing nothing on your non lifting days, I like do 20-30 minutes of cardio keeping my heart rate around 60% of my max HR. Also, I throw in some dynamic movement and stretching. We all know what working out is, but only recently have I read more from Paul Chek on the idea of working ‘in’ Basically, working out is a physical stressor. It is great for us to do, but is a physical stressor nonetheless, and it takes energy from our bodies to do it. As mentioned before, in modern life we too often burn the candle at both ends and don’t allow for recovery. (ie: psychologically stressed at work then go workout and physically stress the body) That’s where working ‘in’ comes in to play. It is a way to generate MORE energy for your body, powered by a slow controlled, easy movement with emphasis on breathing: ➡️Exhale as your body is going more towards the fetal position, or flexed position, such as when lowering into a squat➡️Inhale as you are extending through the spine and the rib cage is expanding, such as when returning to standing during the squat This can be performed with any movement, but here’s the criteria for it to be working ‘in’ versus working ‘out’:✅It does not cause you to break a sweat .✅It does not increase heart rate .✅It does not increase respiratory rate .✅It can be performed on a full stomach without ill effects .✅It does not cause your mouth to get dry (breath through your nose) . It’s so bizarre for me to look back and see how far I’ve come. I feel like a whole different person compared to the person on the left! I am about 10-15 lbs away from the number I want to see on the scaleso right now that is my focus on this journey! 10 pounds 🙂! The next goal will be to decrease my body fat percentage by incorporating more weight training, but for now I think this is a healthy goal for me. There is no “deadline” because this is not a raceI used to put time frames on myself all the time and all that did was add stress, and did I even reach those goals? No!
