Lets talk MACROS Protein - Carbs - Fats . First up is protein! Protein is an essential part of both building muscle and burning fat! This is because you body is in one of two states at any given point throughout the day. Anabolic or catabolic Anabolic means building muscle, and burning fat! Catabolic means storing fat and burning muscle 15 - 20 grams of protein is what gets you to an anabolic state! That’s why getting enough protein is so important. Because whatever your goals are, you want to want to be anabolic as much as possible It takes 2-3 hours for your body to work through this protein, and after that you slip back into catabolism.
