On Sunday am Terry took a fall on the ice in our driveway. He broke his acetabulum. It is a cup-shaped bone between the femur and pelvis. The photo I posted prior are the plates and screws used to support the acetabulum so it can heal. This photo is of his left knee that is frost bitten. He is now in rehab in Bemidji as was posted in the prior post. I don’t plan on posting much more on social media about this but I do want to get the word out for those of you who would like to reach out or visit him. His spirits are good and he is following all the rules dished out from the nurses, doctors and therapists. Thank you all for the warm thoughts, messages etc. Terry has heard or read every single message and we are so, so grateful for every single act of support. smalltown
SmallTown where the families know each other or know of each other. Who do your hang around at school?
Top rated school, low crime rate, high neighborhood watch, families step in to help others out when we can because we care and it always comes back around.
Raising my here is only one of my favorite topics on the reasons why Idyllwild ranks so high on the lists of places to be.
Idyllwild and this small school serves the generations I brought into the world very well.
Thank you mountain for bringing me here
SoCalAuthenticityTownSouthernCaliforniaMountainLifeSnow the creeks with wild berries to pick along the Playground and Skate Park. Arts and Crafts and all of the events hosted in town in many seasons with many different styles of entertainment and opportunities for entrepreneurs to shine.
The streams which hum their lullabies when the window is left open just a crack. The lack of sirens and city noises becomes natural. Anything but pure silence at night is unecessary as the sunrises over the ridge to wake us all up.
Summer is never to her because we have shade and the mountain breezes.
Winter is never to long because this is Southern California and not the north.
My climbtrees and getoutside because they want to and have what they need to be entertained right there with that massive boulders and Strong Oak, occasionally (shh) hanging on a Manzanita that bounces.
The leaves in fall are fun to jump in. The apples are delicious.
The blooms in spring make them smile and want to plant tomatoes and potatoes.
And with all of this is not difficult to see only one reason why Idyllwild is a special place to be
