To Mr. Motown Berry Gordy, I believe it is time to swing that Motown sound on again. I remember the diversity in our country, and our world. I hope this get you to think on this. However many people had love, soul because of the great music on the rise. Disco had a short live, but still here with us. Rock & Roll with the diversity sounds in each group or solo artists from the 50s on through the 80s. Country music staying solid of their unique sounds up through the 80s. However Motown did have it's own unique sound, with unique artists of their unique style and sound from the soul. We are so divided today it is very painful. Like the wind of love has been taken out of our breasts. The sound is drown out by the waves to wash us away, with our hatred, adversity of selfishness. Our problems in more freedom of today has taken us captive compared to the limited freedom to share each other's love matter what background or skin color back in the day. I ask of you as you continue to be around before the Good Lord takes you, to go the next level of that fabulous Motown sound and write and produce more wonderful music like back in the day. Our country, the world needs that soothing sound to bring us back together. I even love to help write lyrics and captivate the sound that is not producing to our ears anymore. I be honored for helping and bring back that good time feelings of able to love again then hate in our times of today. So many need that refueling of the soul to gain some inner peace. Looking forward to hear that Motown sound in new songs that is simple but fun and enjoyable to sing along. If like to reach me, please don't hesitate. Life is too short to wonder what if, when should do. phlipper phlipper17 berrygordyjr berrygordy motown music smokeyrobinson detroit peace love harmony music musicians newsboysunited newsboys god dianaross temptations fourtops thesupremes arethafranklin

I hope this letter gets to Berry Gordy, please! I can hear the difference in a Motown voice and sound of the music. Today's Motown is dead because people lost the truth, or as well catering to tone deaf dreamers. Time to be honest and tell want to be artists that can't sing. Time to speak the God's truth! When Berry Gordy sold Motown away in the late 80's. Motown died with its history. I listen to 4 different artists they feature on Motown now. They are definitely tone deaf and can't tell the difference of Motown and anything else. They have no soul, no voice and makes it bad is they have nothing good from them. When are we going to stop catering to tone deaf people, and especially to people that think their artists but really more tone deaf then the deaf person who can't hear. Sad so many people in this world today are so tone deaf, makes me wonder how many are soulless. Time to demand that sound to come back from the elders to show the way on how the music is to be. Soul, unique singing voices, carrying the harmonies with a soul music that is not catered to people that have no souls. Tonight I noticed some artists think they can sing Motown. However don't have that Motown voice or even can't sing. This is where I noticed the sick attitude of trying to sell sex to cover up their short comings of singing and music. Let's demand better music as well get Motown sound back up and running! If I offended you, guess what, it doesn't bother me. Tired of the crap put out in all these different groups of music today sounding like noise and cookie cutter machines that have no soul. Where is the original creative writer's gone to. Smokey Robinson singing track of my tears, is priceless. Can hear it in his voice. A genuine sound and soul in him. A humming bee sound as he sing. Like vocals should sound. I can’t wait to see Motown 60 tonight. My wife, Pam, and I were actually at Motown 25 when Michael Jackson moonwalked the world into a tidal wave of Michael Mania. It was the most magical TV moment I’ve ever witnessed. Being a Detroit boy, I’m so proud of Motown. The music they created truly helped make the world better. Congratulations on 60 years of unmatched success and impact. I Love all the Motown acts, from Smokey & Stevie, to Diana & Jr. Walker, but I have to end this post with this: Temptations Forever Oh the sweet sounds of Motown! motown60 GRAMMYsMotown60 detroit berrygordy smokeyrobinson dianaross supremes temptations fourtops jackson5 marvingaye steviewonder motownartists goodmusic soulmusic donniesback dsvideosoul

“Remember Motown? Not just the driving music that swept the nation and the world, but the vibrant energy of the Motor City itself, symbolizing the heyday of America. Today, a derelict Detroit is testament to what America has squandered and what it has become.” - Gerald Celente

Diana Ross & The Supremes - Farewell. Weird pressing from Taiwan. I’m never sure quite how official these pressings are. The sleeves seem to be recycled (you can still see adverts and things on the inside) and covered in a thin layer of polythene. It doesn’t sound great, but it’s a fun listen. It just sounds like all the performers are having fun, slipping from track to track, with pauses for chatter and thankyous. The first track is a 20minute version of Let The Sunshine In with Diana walking through the crowd getting audience members. There not just any old audience though. It’s Marvin Gaye, Tina Turner, and Smokey Robinson. vinyl records vinylcommunity dianaross thesupremes farewell taiwan foreignpressing smokeyrobinson marvingaye tinaturner

Thoughts:I've never really took the time to listen to Anderson .Paak and I'm so glad I did because Anderson is in his element on this album and it sounds great. Has captured one of my favourite sounds and modernized it. The bass playing in this album is amazing and really brings the funk feeling. His delivery on this album is perfect for creating the soul sound. The album sounds so good but you don't get too lost and pick up on a few lines that are important that make a statement and tell a story. The features are great from Jazmine Sullivan and Sonyae Elise who bring great energy to the Icons on the track listing like Andre 3000 who brings his great flow and one liners and Nate Dogg (R.I.P) who's vocals fit into the track and feel like they are supposed to be there. The track serves as a great homage to Nate and shows so much respect to him. Tracks like King James have amazing bass on them and have a great delivery from Paak and The song with Smokey Robinson really brings the sound and energy from when Robinson was at his peak. My least favourite track is Twilight and Yada Yada. I don't even think they are necessarily bad tracks but his voice on Yada Yada doesn't fit in with the instrumental for me and the repetitive bass hit in twilight is too irritating. That being said If you are a fan of soul and funk you will love this album. ventura andre3000 andersonpaak smokeyrobinson natedogg oxnard malibu review album bass producers
