“I’ll Never Love This Way Again” Dionne Warwick. August 16, 2019. RiverEdge Park, Aurora, Illinois. This is an absolutely amazing outdoor venue. My wife and mother-in-law enjoyed the show. I spent most of it playing with the kid, trying to keep her entertained. Dionne was not my (or the kid’s) sceneHad I consulted the Psychic Friends Network, I might’ve known that ahead of time. dionnewarwick illneverlovethiswayagain grammywinner adultcontemporary luthervandross motown thesupremes thespinners isaachayes arethafranklin whitneyhouston steviewonder eltonjohn gladysknight gloriaestefan marvingaye smokeyrobinson instaconcert livemusic pattilabelle beegees barrymanilow junepointer concertvideo musicvideo rnrhof rockhall aurorail auroraillinois psychicfriendsnetwork

Even though he’d been up since 5am with only a couple of hours sleep travelling on his way home from his epic musical trip across Europe, Leo was determined not to miss the spectacular The Magic of Motown show we had booked months ago to secure the front seats! churchill_bromley entertainers_uk So, despite being very tired, still in his scruffy travelling clothes, with wild hair and being mistaken for a girl (it happens a lot 🙈😂 but we still love you, Andre La Jeune 😎😍- don’t know how to tag you!) Leo still managed a little dance with one of his idols, Stevie Wonder 😎🕺🏾🎶🎤🎟🤩😍 leolearns leolearns specialneedskids autisticandproud autismwow dancer themagicofmotown motown steviewonder dianaross motownrecords music theatre jackson5 thejacksons mozartminion smokeyrobinson marvingaye thesupremes andrelajeune singer thefourtops thetemptations marthareeves churchilltheatre motownthemusical happybirthday michaeljackson dreadlocks braids afrohair

Happy birthday to the singer and songwriter Billy Griffin. He is best known for replacing Smokey Robinson as lead singer of the group The Miracles. Just like Robinson before him, Griffin co-wrote many of The Miracles songs, along with being the group's lead singer. Griffin and Pete Moore wrote all the songs on the 1975 album - platinum album - "City of Angels". During their stay in the group, they achieved three hits: "Do It Baby", 13th position on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1973, The Miracles' most successful single, "Love Machine", which topped the charts in 1975. Griffin was also in "Don't Cha Love It", another in 1st position. The Miracles group left Motown in 1976, signing with Columbia Records. After two albums by Columbia, Griffin and Moore decided to stop performing to focus solely on composition. In 1982, Griffin released his first solo album, Be With Me, which yielded a song on the UK's Top 20 charts, "Hold Me Tighter in the Rain." The following year, Respect brought success, "Serious". After a third album with Leon Ware, Griffin signed to Atlantic Records, but despite making an album, only one single, "Believe It or Not", was released before he was left without a record deal. He has become a talented songwriter and backing vocalist for other artists, but despite recording a large number of his own songs, his album Technicolor (with the eponymous single being a tribute to Marvin Gaye) has never been released before. from the end of his record label in 1992. Many of his recordings for Motown, however, were released in the 1996 compilation "Best Of Billy Griffin". He composed songs and backing vocals for Aretha Franklin, The O'Jays, Ronald Isley, Freda Payne, Edwin Starr, Evelyn Champagne King, Herb Alpert, Martine McCutcheon, The Emotions and many others. In 2006, Griffin released his latest album, Like Water. Billy Griffin, along with the other members of The Miracles, attended the star's ceremony at the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 20, 2009. billygriffin themiracles motown rnb smokeyrobinson blackmusic soul soulsinger holdmetighterintherain blackexcellence soulmusic rnbclassic motownlegend soullegend rnbsoul rnblegend

He helped usher in the Motown era with his writing & singing. When you think of one of the best ever to do it in both of those fields Smokey’s name always has to be mentioned as one of the greats in the beginning of conversation! Anderson .Paak - Ventura When I really think about it this very well may be my favorite album of 2019 up to this point. Over these last few months I have become a huge fan of Anderson .Paak and find myself revisiting some of the best tracks off this album daily. The first half of Reachin’ 2 Much will never get old to me! As well as being able to closely relate to Make It Better ft. Smokey Robinson, a beautiful song I hold close to my heart. The album dropped earlier this year in January so if you happened to miss it definitely find some time to vibe to it today!🎵❤️ Ps: If you still haven’t unfollowed yet due to my lack of posts and stuck around THANK YOU😊) Favorite Tracks: Twilight, Reachin’ 2 Much, Make It Better🔥 aotd andersonpaak ventura smokeyrobinson music newmusic albumoftheday album of the day vibe lover smile teeth soul randb grammy nprtinydesk love albumcover

Help us wish a very happy birthday to Motown artist, billygriffin9380—lead singer of The Miracles from 1972-1978! After his singing group won a talent program on nbc, Griffin was invited to audition for Berry Gordy and Motown executives in Detroit. He got the job—replacing Smokey Robinson as the lead singer of The Miracles. During his time with The Miracles, Griffin wrote many of the group's songs—including co-writing all of the 1975 platinum-selling album, "City of Angels", with Pete Moore. He's best-known for hits like 'Do It Baby', 'Love Machine' and 'Don't Cha Love It' Fun fact about Billy Griffin—he was high school friends and singing partners with Damon Harris, who went on to replace Eddie Kendricks in the Temptations in 1971!
