Happy Friday Beautiful Soul! 🍒🍉 With this humid crazy Melbourne weather we are having at the moment, it is important to stay hydrated. 💦 One thing that I notice with a lot of clients is that although they are drinking plenty of water, they are still dehydrated. When we drink too much water, especially when we are not actually thirsty, this can lead to over-hydration, which is not good as it leads to an imbalance of your electrolytes in the body. ▪▪▪ This is my favourite way to stay hydrated and keep up my electrolytes. 🌿🌿🌿 •Take 1/4 cup pomegranate juice • Mix with 3/4 room temp water. • Add in a sprinkle of salt. Caught a great back day today before training a client. I made sure I strapped up with my cardilloweightbelts belt to protect my back. As it’s not as strong as it should be. So I keep it safe by using my belt. If you don’t have one got get one! One issue I’m having with Mamasita is getting her to drink liquids on the go, at home it’s not as hard but if we run errands I want to keep her hydrated and I‘ve been unsuccessful in finding the right bottles, I tried a few from nalgene which were too hard to operate and I got a few from yeti and they are just way too heavy for her (but I’m loving my half gallon tumbler 😉) I recently saw a recommendation for the Contigo spill-proof straw tumblers in a Facebook dementia group and finally success! Anyone else struggling to get enough water each day?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I aim for 1/2 my body weight in ounces but, honestly, any amount of water can get boring to drink! South India food is delicious😋 But can be spicy for some and heavy for others. What I usually do to balance my meals during my stay in India, in order to feel great, full of energy and never feeling heavy or ill or even lethargic, which I never did, was to eat less rice and more legumes dishes (protein rich foods) little bit of paratha bread or none and eat very, very slowly, always chewing throughly in order not to increase heat in my body since weather was super hot already and try to stay cool and always keep hydrated by drinking coconut water and or drinking water all the time. I know my body very well, I think that is one of my greatest advantages, to know how to listen to my body and follow Ayurveda principles. That is how I stayed safe, healthy and full of energy the whole month of my trip with my suryaworld family. I enjoyed everything so much.
