Going into week 3 of crossfit down 7lbs and already seeing a difference. I’ve been going 5 days a week not because I feel like I have to but because I WANT to. I love how I feel afterwards, I love that it puts me on track to eat healthier, I love that I go to class stronger than I was the class before it. For years, I would only do push-ups on my knees because I knew I was not strong enough to do them on my toes. I'm so thankful that I decided to join the challenge group last November and surrounded by so many others who provided the accountability I needed to do home workouts. We motivate and encourage each other daily to push harder, to get up, to show up, and to stay on plan! When I show up to my exercise routine everyday, my muscles get stronger and now I can do push-ups on my toes. It is truly not about being the best, it is about being BETTER than I was YESTERDAY! Keep it simple! ••• With so many trendy workouts and diets out there it can get very overwhelming to navigate. Don’t get me wrong, there are times I enjoy those fancy snacks and products too but they are by no means necessary to reach your goals. You don’t need to spend a ton on complicated diets, fancy foods or workout classes. However if you find these helpful and enjoy them, by all means utilize them! They just aren’t the only option. For workouts, it can be as simple as getting up and going for a walk! For strength, the basic old school lifts will get you there. Think squats, deadlifts, presses, curls, etc. I personally do a mix of these and walking. Simple, whole foods can be both easy and affordable. Fresh or frozen produce and grains in bulk go a long way. It also makes it very easy to track your portions and macros, as there isn’t much guessing involved with what the ingredients are in a sweet potato 😏. Most people overcomplicate nutrition and fitness. Too much of anything (even the good stuff) isn’t always helpful. You can’t go wrong with the basics! remsfitkitch

Whenever I meet new people, they always tell me; “I wish I was this motivated!”. “How do you have time to do it all” . Well you see, it lays in the choices that we make. You get to choose what you want to prioritise. What’s worth your time, what isn’t. There’s nothing greater than living life knowing you spent every minute of it fulfilling your dreams. It’s not always a pretty road. You don’t see my struggle. I don’t post it. I tend to keep it to myself. But believe me, I do struggle a lot. Only people close to me really knows what I go through. Whenever things get real hard, I remind myself that the outcome is worth it and the challenges will only make me stronger. I don’t always stay motivated . Long post with maybe too much info but just wanted to be honest I have struggled with my weight since I can remember. I have been 200lbs and 145lbs in my adult life and everything in between. what I eat and how often I work out are on my mind constantly! I came home from Vegas after making some not so great food choices and feeling bloated and tired. I worked out today because I was punishing myself Can anyone else relate? I often workout so I can eat the food but I know this mindset isn’t serving me. Clearly after almost 40 years I’m still struggling 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am truly trying to change the way I think about food and exercise, that they add health! I do believe in balance and I will always have the 🍰 and 🍷 but for the rest of 2019 and into my 40’s I’m truly working on loving me just the way I am and fueling my body for health and working out because it feels good and I like being strong. ✨ Forever treating Monday’s as fresh starts ✨ I recently started reading Darren Hardy’s book The Compound Effect and came across a quote that I love. 📚 “We all come into this world the same: naked, scared, and ignorant. After that grand entrance, the life we end up with is simply an accumulation of all the choices we make.’ 💙 I never thought of it that way before but it is so true. The CHOICES we make on a DAILY basis make up who we are as a person and show so much about us. 💥 Even just months ago, I was going through the daily cycles of life but not actually thinking about how my individual choices added up and were going to effect me in the long run. 🌀 Now, I choose to read personal development everyday because it allows me to grow. 🌱 Now, I meditate everyday because it grounds me and allows me to better handle my emotions. 🙃 Now, I workout everyday because it gives me confidence and makes me stronger. 💪🏻 Now, I make healthier choices eating wise because I know it benefits my body better. 💚 Now, I actively support and encourage women everyday because I want to help them be better versions of themselves. 🌈 But all of these daily choices and habits started with finally saying one big YES! 🤩 A yes that I defiantly did not think was going to make such changes in my life but here I am now. 😱 Are your daily habits adding up with the person you want to be in this life?!
