I don’t normally post anything about school here, but just wanted to give a special shoutout to Sigma Kappa:
Thank you so much for giving me another home away from home (literally). Rushing and joining was definitely not an easy decision, but if it was, things probably wouldn’t have been the same. I remember all too clear struggling to save up to pay the first set of dues, worrying about how I would continue to be in chapter, and overthinking that I wouldn’t fit in, but every struggle was worth it in the end for this chapter. From all the late nights and early mornings spent editing photos and thinking of captions to post on our social media, to spending around 10 minutes or more trying to perfect “lettering” for our IG stories, to becoming a dream team with such a beautiful and empowering sister ashley_faziooo , thank you so much to the sisters that encouraged me and supported me with my creative expression. I felt loved and supported, and would not have had the confidence to pursue my passions if it weren’t for the belief this chapter had in me.
Never would I have thought that I would actually live in a sorority house with 17 people and share a room with 5 people. Yeah that sounds crazy af but I actually enjoyed living in the house and so glad I got to spend my senior year here. From the memories I’ve made with my 5 roomies to the memories I’ve made with people in the house, I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my senior year any other way. Thanks for providing me a study room to stress and cry in (aka my 3rd home). Friendships came and went in college, but within the short amount of time I had in SK, I know I have some sisters for life (it’s not 4 years it’s 4 life IYKYK). I can say so many things about how sigma kappa has impacted my life butIYKYK
