Some relationships bring the best out of us. Bestnot in terms of the world's understanding of morality, virtues, discipline shoulds and should nots But they bring out the raw form of us, which generally takes a back seat and at times cremates itself too Cheers to all such relationships which blooms innumerable flowers in your life even if they challenge some technically defined moral compass😊 Behind the lens - Nageena Rajpurohit sareepact 100sareepact sixyardsofelegance sustainablefashion weavesofindia weaves textilesofindia textiles weaversofindia indianweavers portraitphotohraphy shotonminote6pro lightroomedits maduraiblogger fashionblogger embroiderylove pinkwhitecombo netsaree popxoblogger plixxoblogger

Is anyone else hooked on The Great British Sewing Bee? We loved the episode last week where they reused scraps of fabric and made clothing from curtains.⠀ Textile waste, be it from clothing or upholstery, is a real problem in our country with millions of tonnes ending in landfill every year. ⠀ Buying good quality fabrics and well made products will ensure longevity of your interior furnishings. However, don't just ditch the old for new. Reuse and repurpose your old materials by dying (with eco friendly dyes), accessorising or up-cycling (changing the function) will breathe new life into your textiles and prevent them from ending up in landfill.⠀ Where possible, we can help you work with your current fabrics bringing them up-to-date and fit a new room design. ⠀ Call us to see how we can work with you: 01252 220400⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ reduce reuse recycle quality madetolast upcycle accessories softfurnishings fabric textiles interiors furnishings GBSB sweingbee interiordesign design hampshiredesigner renaissanceinteriors rihw

The powerhouse , Louise Bourgeois, working in the studio. She kept creating art right up until the end of her life. Finally I found the way to combine custom orders and to create toys of my choice✨⠀ ⠀ I have around 2 hours in the afternoon and little bit more time at night, when my son is sleeping. Sometimes if I'm very lucky, I can do some work during the afternoon, when Phillip is playing alone. ⠀ ⠀ One toy takes around 8-10 hours to finish, depending on the difficulty (embroidery, flowers, antlers, clothes and type of fabric I use). And in case I want to make a new animal, it takes even longer. I have to sew it couple of times, adding different changes, until I'm completely satisfied with the result☺️.⠀ ⠀ And taking all these facts into consideration, I can take maximum 4 personal orders per month and it will take me around 8-10 day till I ship it. ⠀ ⠀ There are still 1-2 available spots for customer orders in April🙌🏻⠀ ⠀ Can you guess, which toy takes the longest to make? Or which part of the process is the most time consuming?

1970: the year when “everyone who was anyone in the American food world” showed up in the south of France. In his book, Provence 1970, Luke Barr chronicles encounters of Julia , M. F. K. Fisher and James Beard, some of the greatest food influencers of our time. His book describes moments between these iconic food writers that shaped the way we eat. 📚 What's your favorite book about food?

This week, I’ll be highlighting some of my favorite pieces from my Fulani Collection sold exclusively on Comfiart. The Penda pillow is one of my favorite pieces. This pillow is a wonderful accent for any home. The Penda pillow will be a great accent piece for your sofa, bench, bed, accent chairs or fireplace decor. I named this design after my sister n law Penda, who is of Senegalese descendant from the Fulani tribe. The Fulani Collection is available to shop at comfiart. Day 19 / / dream collaboration: I felt weird tagging people I’ve never met on my post. While, yes I do have people in mind that I would love to work with on some pieces, I thought I’d go with something a little different today. A few dreams of mine: selling my work at craft fairs such as renegadecraft or chicagoartisanmarket. And of course anthropologie! I mean it’s texture heaven! MarchMeetTheMaker by joannehawker
