This week’s throwback video we’re taking it back to the crossfit Northeast Regional Individual Competition in 2014- something that actually no longer exists in the sport of Crossfit. So much has changed in just a few short years time. Funny enough I don’t really do many CrossFit workouts anymore and my training has shifted towards a low intensity body building style with a strength focus. I wonder how things will continue to shift in the next few years? Any Crossfit predictions? crossfit change evolve grow lift strength train bodybuilding gymmotivation workhard handstandpushups mypoorneck ouch throwbackthursday throwback 🎥 compliments mobloko

So this is about a 2 year difference. As you can see I gained a lot of muscle but during most of thay process I was constantly trying to find a way to get super lean. The right was the closest I ever got prior to currently. I tried all the different diets and while it was frustrating I learned what didn’t work for me. My BEST advice is stick with it. Try everything. Don’t give up and you will figure it out. I went from eating dry chicken breast and eating constantly, spending so much time cooking, etc. I refused to give up and found something that works for me. Allows me to enjoy my weekends with 🍺 and 🍕 while still leaning out. I learned so much about food and how our bodies process different nutrients. I used to think I knew what all about training and nutrition until I learned more and realized I didn’t know s% &. Now I accept what I know and just strive to keep learning. I’m happy with what I am doing and the progress I am making with the social life I’m making. No more dry chicken and living around eating. Definitely need a tan tho. Hier rollt ein ICE 2 als Zugteil aus Düsseldorf gen Osten um in Hamm(Westf.) mit dem Zugteil aus Köln, via Wupperstrecke, verkuppelt zu werden. 195 on bench today. 225 is coming soon. Buttt anyways I feel like all these fitness people on Instagram constantly just talk and care about themselves. With that being said I just wanted to put it out there that if anyone needs help, questions or anything feel free to dm me. The Instagram fitness community should be obligated to help others more and I'd be happy to start with you! • PC: nick_vanosdol • • health fitness fit envywear fitnessmodel fitnessaddict fitspo workout bodybuilding cardio gym train training health healthy instahealth healthychoices active strong motivation instagood determination lifestyle diet getfit cleaneating eatclean exercise aesthetics purecutsupps

If you don’t like to take pills then gummy vitamins are a great way to get your daily does of micro nutrients. A large majority of the population doesn’t get enough micronutrients on a daily basis. Highly recommend taking some sort of multi vitamin to ensure you’re getting at least most of your needed nutrients. There is better ones then these, these have a little added sugar so pills would be more preferred! 💊

“I’m just your ordinary CPA trying to maximize my potential in all aspects of my life. I’m constantly in search of bigger and better challenges to make me both physically and mentally stronger, and I worked my way up to doing my first Obstacle Course Race two years ago. I have been competing in obstacle course races ever since. Scoliosis will always be an obstacle in my life that I’m learning to tackle in order to find the most effective way to prevent injury and promote longevity. I have a 27 degree curvature in my spine, and while I might not have been dealt the best cards, I chose to make the most out of what I was dealt. I’m not about comparing my performance to someone else, as I’m focused on pushing my own limits to reach my greatest potential and being the best version of myself that I can be. The mental strength you gain from these races stays with you in other aspects of your life. I learn the most from my failures, around what I can do to prevent injuries and how I can make myself even stronger. These races motivate me to make healthy life choices and maximize my race performance, from the food I’m putting in my body to the workout I do.” accountantfitness If you think you or someone you know could be our next FacesofHustle spotlight, share their moment on Instagram and tag oikosprotein pushyourself struggle dreambig challenge noexcuses personalgrowth motivation goals ambitious strongmind train overcome race

Our neighbor firmhands talks about why stretching is so importantour instructors end each class with a warm down and a stretch! reposted • • • • • Why it's important. Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight Injured muscles may not be strong enough to support the joints, which can lead to joint injury. All of my sports massage sessions include stretching as it pairs with this specific practice to really hone in on preventing injuries and rehabbing those muscles and joints! Holy 🔥🔥🔥 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tuesday after many many sets, I hit a Back Squat PB 235! Attempt 1 didn’t have the depth and Attempt 2 wasn’t super pretty, but I did it Just ONE WEEK AGO I hit 165 - thinking that was my max. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lifting is such a mental game. I’m thankful for my amazing Trainer Josh Peterson for having the confidence in me and helping me crush a goal. I told him if I could hit 200, I’d be pretty happy. He silently loaded the plates each set and an hour of 2-3 rep sets later I hit 235. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The next time you think you can’t do something, think again. You’ve got so much more in you than you know Sometimes it just takes someone coming along side of you and believing in you more than you believe in yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Surround yourself with people who believe in you. With people who will fight alongside you. People who will cheer so loud, it drowns out all of your fears. You’ve got this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’re needing it today: I believe in you. You can do this.

Progressive Overload 🏋️‍♀️ This is term that is used constantly used in the fitness industry but what does it mean 🤔 Sporting Example: ‘If you play the same the same tennis player over & over and your always winning, you not going to become a better tennis player’ Very similar in the gym, if your doing the same type of exercise, lifting the same weights & doing the same program your not going to progress. How do you progress an exercise ? Lift more weight- is typical answer most PT’s will say! Here is a couple of ways to make the exercise more challenging: Add More Sets & Reps, volume over time will make you stronger. Tempo- Slow the eccentric (the way down) or the concentric (the way up). This technique is great way to tire the muscles in a different way & you will become stronger over time. Rest- take more/less recovery time in order to make the exercise slightly easier (so you can add more weight) or make the exercise slightly harder. Frequency- If your Squat is your worst lift do it more, so add another squat day or a variation of a squat into your weekly regime. (Front Squat) Try adding a few of these techniques into your regime, & I promise they will make a significant difference 💪💪 Remember ‘If doesn’t challenge you, it will not change you’ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ friday fridayvibes progressiveoverload challenge change

I Imagine there’s a door marked Fear and behind that door is all of the things you’ve wished for all of your life. You try to open the door and it’s locked. The key is overcoming that fear so that you can have the things you want and be the person you’ve always wanted to be. Fear is a tricky demon to exorcise. It’s different for each of us, and isn’t always a very strong feeling. It is sometimes a low-level vibration, that slight underlying feeling of dread that bubbles up when thinking of doing something new or venturing into the unknown. 🎬 • • • • •
