What happens after you lose the weight? Did you finish a challenge? A cleanse? A cut? Do you know how to healthfully bring yourself out of a calorie deficit? Many people think the hardest part is losing the weight. I definitely disagree. Yes, it requires a TON of sacrifice and commitment for many people. It requires you to look at your lifestyle and recognize that it isn’t in line with the vision you have for yourself. Yet no one spends enough time understanding how to go from a calorie deficit to maintenance without going “off the wagon.” YOU are the wagon. There is nothing to get back on. Manipulating calories for maintenance can be tricky (especially for many who spend too much time in a calorie deficit). What good is it to work “so hard” only to watch it all go down the drain? As a coach, I really encourage that nutrition is simple, but mindset is complicated. Educating my clients and listening to their concerns and feedback is most important to me. I want them to be successful forever! Not just for a snap shot. I want to teach them what they need to sustain their results. I’m an essence, I try and lead them to water and teach them how to drink. It takes commitment and trust on both sides. There is no “timeline” when making lasting changes. It all comes down to the individual. OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS I’VE BROKEN **ALL** OF THE RULES THEY TELL YOU YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW TO LOSE WEIGHT 1. I didn’t cut high calorie foods. You know I didn’t give up burgers 🍔, pizza or cinnamon rolls. 2. I didn’t do anything to reduce my appetite. I eat a lot and I lovvvvve food. I love eating, I love cooking, and I loooooove trying new things at restaurants. 😍 3. I didn’t count calories. ❌ I didn’t weigh myself and I didn’t let a number tell me if I was succeeding or not. How I feel is ALWAYS the guide. 4. I didn’t add supplements. And I didn’t do anything outside of my body’s natural abilities. 🌱 5. I didn’t do 1,000 calorie workouts. I moved my body when it felt right and when it sounded like fun, some days I didn’t work out at all. 6. I didn’t give up gluten, dairy, meat, fruit, alcohol or coffee. ☕️ I made nutrient dense choices. Giving up everything I listed is not required for weight loss. I’ve given all of those up in the past and still struggled with my weight and body. 7. I didn’t stop eating dessert. BecauseGod made delicious food for us to enjoy it 😄🙌 (P.S. There’s a big difference between enjoying it and eating it to cover up emotions.) HERE’S HOW IT WORKED: First I lost 40 pounds and kept it off for years. Then I got pregnant. Postpartum, my body was back to pre-pregnancy size 2 1/2 weeks after I had J and muscle definition came back after 5 weeks. None of this is because I won a genetic lottery, worked my ass off to get it or was just destined for it to happen. I wasn’t back to working out right after baby. I laid in my bed for almost 3 months with ZERO workouts. The results I got were because I chose it. I decided. I counted myself in instead of assuming I was out. I chose that this got to be my experience. This is the right that every woman has. Its not exclusive. It’s hers for the taking if she chooses it HERES WHAT I DID: 1. I made my own rules. 2. I did inner work Do you want the inner work that I used to lose 40 pounds, lose my baby weight and still use to maintain my body? Good! Because I’m super excited to share it with you! Don’t have time to workout? Bullshit This workout takes 30 minutes. That is 2% of your day. Don’t make excuses, make progress. First round you do 10 reps of each exercise in the order listed. Second round you do 9 reps. Third round your do 8 reps and on and on till you hit zero. I love doing this workout with dumbbells!You can use the same ones for each weighted exercise or switch up the weight. Once I am able to complete it under 30 minutes I know it’s time to up the weight for next time.
