T W I S T O U T . ✨
I usually like to keep my natural hair in protective styles, but since I’m currently in between styles and am undecided on my next “do”, I wanted to experiment with some sponge rollers and perm rods, just to see if I could tell a noticeable difference between the two. My verdict is
PERM RODS: Gave a tighter, more defined curl.
SPONGE ROLLERS: Gave a looser, more flowy curl.
Here’s how I got the look ✨✨✨
-On stretched hair and using mielleorganics ”Twisting Custard”, I did 4 fairly loose flat twists across the front of my head, and wrapped the ends with sponge rollers.
-In the middle and in the back, I created about 12 two-strands twists, and rolled the ends with white perm rods.
-I let my hair dry overnight.
-When I woke up, I used Jamaican Black Caster Oil & Tea Tree Oil to gently separate each twist.
-I braided a simple cornrow in the front using designessentials “Honey & Shea Edge Tamer”.
-I added some hair jewelry for a cute finishing touch and VOILA! The perfect little Sunday style! ☺️✨💕
