And we end this portrait series with Arya Stark. Youngest of the Stark siblings, and assassin extraordinaire. Despite being of noble blood, Arya has no desire for the indoors and the bearings of a typical queen. She's more into exploring the streets and the wild and can't easily be fettered. Arya is also the one who, to everyone's surprise, eventually kills the Placeholder Iceman uhm, sorry Night King.
This painting didn't take me as many hours as some of the others, thanks to her natural, no make-up look and neatly groomed hair (Tormund, are you listening?). The only challenge here was getting her expression right, which lies somewhere between focused attention and annoyance.
That said, it's been quite a journey. I've had an amazing time taking a break from book reviews and painting these in between my work schedule. I cannot stress on how supportive you guys have been throughout. The artworks weren't as demanding as finding the right state of mind to keep the brush going and get them done. Thanks to you, I've had a chance to discover my long-abandoned love for paintings all over again, and I promise there will be more of these in the near future.
I love you folks, and thank you once again.
Total time taken: Approx 4.5 hours.
