‘It’s 4 o clock in the morning and it’s starting to get light’ Promise Me ~ Beverly Craven 🖤🎶✨ I’ll never tire of this view from my rear window. It’s never the same, yet it has a consistency that is somewhat, comforting to me. ✨ Largo Law; with a height of 290m (965ft) she is the largest and most distinctive hill in East Fife, commanding excellent views over Fife, the Firth of Forth, the Lothians & beyond. The hill has three tops. The distinctive top that gives the hill its conical aspect (lady’s busoms) from the main road (283m) is not the true summit. The summit lies behind this, slightly to the north. There is also "Craig Rock"(231m) which forms a satellite top on the hills east flank. Largo Law is the core of an extinct volcano which was active between 300 - 350 million years ago or in other words A denuded volcanic neck dating from the carboniferous era. The famous ‘Norrie's law’ horde of pict silver was found here. 🖤 didyouknow The word ‘Law’ is an auld Scots word for hill.
Take a wander up there, it's lovely. 🖤✨ sunrise fife scotland clouds photography extinction volcano landscape skies sky hill wanderlust walking landscapephotography shotoniphone instaphoto
