💕 => By the great kdinspiredlife <= 💕 I’m ashamed of this ‘after’ photo 😔 . It reminds me how incredibly harsh and judgmental I was of myself. I was trying on swimsuits and taking pics for Instagram way back in 2015 but I never posted it because I saw too many flaws in my body selfcriticalbullshit I can still remember most of my reasons why I disliked this pic 📝 . 1. Not enough tone in my stomach 2. Lower belly was pouching out 3. My left inner thigh didn’t have a smooth outline 4. My hip bones weren’t visible so I looked too ‘hippy’ 6. The bikini top make it look like I was ‘showing off’ my boobs 7. My hair looked dry I could go on🙀 . 👿Being hyper-critical of my every perceived flaw was a nasty habit that started during my childhood and became a normalised part of my internal dialogue about my body. It was easy and felt justified! to hate on my ‘before’ self but I was never satisfied, no matter how I looked in an ‘after’. I lived in a state of “I’ll be happy when” instead of being present in my life and being grateful for having a healthy, fit body with kickass curves I share this because many of you are on the same journey. Please reflect on how you think about your body and your self-talk. Showing tf up for myself today! (I always dance my way into Monday’s workouts) I have been to the gym in like 2 weeks. I’ve NEVER DONE THAT since i started my journey. It wasn’t so much a feeling of laziness either, much rather my body telling me YOU NEED TO REST SUMMER! Everyday I planned on going to the gym something came up up or my alarm wouldn’t wake me up or a ‘voice’ just told me not to. I continued eating pretty clean but also indulged through those weeks. Gained 10lbs of happy weight and haven’t been hard on myself a single time during the process. Our body NEEDS REST and I’ve literally made myself sick fighting against this in the past. The Universe knows I am strong. I will rebuild the muscle, i will lose whatever weight i want to and i will reach all my fitness goals BUT I will also honor my body and what she needs. 10:19 PM Feeling crappier than ever. Depression is hitting so hard I just don't want to wake up anymore. I look so huge and grossly fat but it's depression, not the huge meal yesterday. The meal was OK in the long run. didn't purge, waited it out, but couldn't sleep until 3PM (which is like you normal folk not sleeping till 3AM) and went through hell. I don't feel good enough to celebrate I had more than double the meal and didn't purge. If I could purge it now I would. but I think I pooped it (or whatever useless part that is left of it) out already. I prepped this meal before I slept so I will have it, on plan. Hurrayyyy for NSV! Little story time lol happymondaybeauties. Yesterday we had family over to celebrate my husband and my MIL’s bday (yes they share bdays), I’m on day 20 of my whole30 and at first when we said we were going to have people over I knew what that meant! Alllll the non compliant foods will be right in my face! Foods that i like might I add lolanyhow, boys, girls, I MADE IT lol i know it’s silly, but it’s huge for me to not be drooling over yummy empanadasI made a delicious guacamole, made some sweet potatoes before everyone got here and i had that, I focused on what I could eat and not on all the other stuff that was sitting on the table Then came time for cakei even said to myself this is torture (I AM ADDICTED SWEETS! There i said it lol), so to torture myself, well scratch that, to test myself I decided to cut the cake, did I drool a little yes, yes absolutely, but I did not feel that “need” I would normally have to have a piece because hello, cake! Long story short, this is a huge NSV for me! And I am damn proud of myself! Doing a whole30 can be challenging when you have bad food habits, for myself is sugar! And to be able to cut that cake and not dive my face it lol is a big deal in my book! So thank you whole30 thank you thank you THANK YOU! I’m finally learning self control! 💅🏼💁🏻‍♀️❣️

Up until recently, I had no idea how important it is to live inspired.
