tbt The picture on the left was from May of 2015, 7 months postpartum with Luca at my highest weight of 186.
I remember getting involved in a Zumba class because it’s where I felt most comfortable.
MOST COMFORTABLE That got me thinking, I was UNCOMFORTABLE in my own skin and not even happy with what I saw in the mirror. I pushed hard for months after that to get to where I wanted and started lifting and running ALOT. It CONSUMED me.
Fast forward to May 2019, 4 years later to doing only 23 minutes a day and my kickboxing classes 2-3 times a week that bring me joy and happiness.
THAT’S THE DIFFERENCE!
It’s like a lightbulb went off and I realized that if it doesn’t make me happy than WHY am I continuing?
I was hesitant to post a picture showing skin because I’ve tried to stray away from it. However, that is letting that “less confident Kayla” come back out and it’s not about physical beauty or showing off, it’s about feeling happy and healthy.
